John Oates Thrasher (1830 Ga) is this N.O. Thrasher?

If you select the male Thrashers in Ga in the 1835-40 age range that are not Mullato or black in 1870, you get one of which is JNO O. Thrasher. He is unmarried and in his household seems to be people who run the household on a plantation (Clarke Co, Ga). Would this be Nancy Thrasher's husband? There was a custom in the south for the men to live in one household and the women and children in another...or for some reason this arrangement worked for the family during this time period.

Who are the parents of this John O. Thrasher, b. abt 1830. There is another John Thrasher and other researchers claim is Rev. John F. Thrasher, this one son of Isaac Thrasher and Elizabeth Hester. The two John Thrasher's are the same age.

Could this John O. be the son of Robert T. Thrasher that went to Dallas Co. Arkansas or Robert Thrasher and Elizabeth Dulaney from Franklin Co., Georgia. The DNA from Franklin Co. Ga and Dallas Co. Arkansas match.

1860 Watkinsville,Clark Co., Georgia
John O Thrasher 30 alone

1870 Clark Co., Georgia
Jno O Thrasher 40
Scott Thrasher 30 white male
Jas Rakestraw 14 mullato
Oscar Thrasher 7 mullato
Flora Thrasher 5 mullato
Alonzo Thrasher 11/12 mullato

There are two Ken Thrashers involved in the Thrasher Family Association's DNA project. They are not related through DNA. One descends from Nancy Thrasher who is supposed to have been married to N. O. Thrasher ( Nancy born Thrasher daughter of Benedict in Georgia.) The other Ken is a descendant of John and Ruth Cloud Thrasher through their son Isaac. E-mail me at Fish_jet@bellsouth.net

Hi again, cousin!

Well, I've returned to Ancestry.com and am still searching for those same mystery people!

My husband SWEARS that Florney/Flevernoy/Flonaby's wife in the 1930's was Lula Belle KINARD, although Lou's death certificate listed it as JOHNSON, and other's called her JOHNSTON.

And - I saw the 1917 draft record for F. His Father was John Neburn (Newburn) Thrasher, his Mother was Mittie Davis Thrasher. My greatfather worked in the mines. His brother's also born there are William Alonzo, Jesse Norwood, John Garland, and Charles Woodrow. My great-great grandfather was Josuah P. Thrasher and his wife was Judson Ann.
I believe this is my Uncle who I was doing research on today. He was killed outside of an Air Force Base in Texas by a drunk driver in a hit and run. He was hitchhiking somewhere near the base trying to get home for the holidays. I was trying to find out more about the incident for my mom (his sister). My mother had promised her dad before he died that she would bring "Billy" home to be buried next to him in Tennessee. I was looking for article r/t the accident - there were rumors that the driver was connected to the police chief in the area and was never prosecuted. He was rumored to have been in the vehicle with a friend and two female acquaintances (not their wives). This might be the reason why I have been unable to find any articles, etc... from the area which was near Abilene, TX. i was unable to pull up the photo but would like to see it as it could help answer some of our questions. My mom could not remember the exact date of his death.
Thanks for you help,
jnpeltier@gmail.com
