I am trying to solve a huge genealogy mystery that has plagued my family for over 100 years. Has anyone ever heard of Lucinda Thurston? She was born in 1829 and was in the 1850 census in Augusta County, VA with her son Zachary T. Thurston (age 1), mother Mary Ann Thurston (age 45) and half-siblings Martha Ann Porterfield (age 15) and John F. Porterfield (age 10). They were all born in Virginia. I am related through Martha Ann, but was hoping to get some information through Lucinda. I can't find any info on her before or after 1850.
