Classification: Census
Surnames: Tibbs, Harris
Hello, While doing some research on our Tibbs-Harris connection we came across some Tibbs on the same page as the Harris family that we did not expect to find. A search for the following Tibbs does not bring up any search results in the 1860 United States Federal Census. Page 77, District No. 18, County of Smith, State of Tennessee. The image shows:
Lewis W or N? Tibbs 48,
Nancy 40,
Amziah? 15,
Sarah E 12,
Susan L 10,
Amanda A 7,
Martha T 4,
Harrison L 1.
Lewis is new to our research, we are looking for (and would expect to find) a Drew, Dru, Drury abt. 1821 Tennessee, wife Nancy (Maiden name unknown), which is already associated with the above names in other census. According to what we have Drury would be about 2 years younger then Lewis. It could be possible that Lewis and Drury are the same person. If so this is the only reference to Lewis we have found.
Any help with this would be appreciated! This info might also help someone else looking into the same Tibbs line.
