Benton and Nancy Parlee Higgs Tidwell

I have been searching and searching where this couple is buried. I do know that in the 1900 Census they were living in Paris, Lamar, Texas. Benton died in 1906, place unknown, and Nancy died in 1923 in Spur, Texas; burial unknown. In the 1910 Census cannot find Nancy in Texas anywhere. In the 1920 Census she was living with Thomas Almond, her son in Spur, Dickens, Tennessee. I found an obituary for her but it only tells abour her passing there in Spur.

Now, I have found a listing in the Arkansas Confederate Pension Applications from Cahoun, Dallas, Ouachita and Union Counties; Page 14:
Tidwill, Benton; widow: Nancy; Co. C, 34 Texas Dismtd. Cav.; she applied: 1911.

I am now trying to find out if Benton and Nancy moved to Arkansas sometime after the 1900 census and before he died, since she applied for her widows pension in 1911 in Arkansas. I do not know how to find out. I am hoping someone out there can help me find this information, or can at least get me started in the right direction. thanks for any help you can give me. I'm sure you've learned a lot more about your family in the last 10 years. I have a "feeling" your Dempsey Tidwell is related to the Mr. Tidwell who married Buena Vista Belzora Birchfield. She died in Bell Co. TX (she was born about 1873 in Clay Co. AL). Her father Nathan Llewelyn Birchfield (1852-1921) died in Clay Co. AL. Her mother was Sarah Bradford (1852-1887).

Can you confirm or deny? Do you know the full name of the Mr. Tidwell who married Buena Vista Belzora Birchfield?

I know she was Elizabeth Lenora Jones (born 25 Jan 1924 in Georgia and died 27 Oct 1978 in California) I suspect her father may have been Jack W. Jones, but not sure. I think he is Seaborn M. Tidwell and the M is Matthew. Matthew Tidwell was born between 1790-1798 according to the GA births. Matthew married first wife Quincy Hall 21 June 1812 but on 10 Feb, 1816 he married second wife Betsy (could be short for Elizabeth)Wooten in Jasper County, GA.
Seaborn Tidwell was b.1816 in GA.

This may lead to a dead end...but its worth a try

I think they both died between the 1880 census and the 1900 census.
In 1900 their son Lonzo is married and lives near his uncle Thomas and family [Daniel's brother].
Just a guess.

Could we be grtting our John Langley's mixed up? I believe that there we more than one John Langley in Cherokee Co., Forsyth Co. etc at that time. I do believe that a John Jackson Langley is suppose to be a child of a Oswell Langley(There are more than one Oswell Langleys in the same area at that time). I don't believe that John Jackson is the JOhn langley mixed up with the Tidwells. I don't have my research with me an I could be getting this all mixed up but I believe I'm correct.
Does anyone have a clue to who this John Langley is who is mention as a Cherokee Chief in the book 'Historic Sullivan) by Oliver Taylor. This is in a deposition given by James Carney in the impeachment trial of Senator Willian Blount of Tn.

I am looking for info on William Henry Tidwell's b.24 May 1856 d. 4 Mar 1917, he lived in AR, then OK. The only thing I know of his parent is his father was from Ireland and his mother was Dutch, they married in Holland and shortly after coming to America William Henry Tidwell was born, he had two known siblings Wesley and Mary Tidwell. Believe mother later remarried.

Have a photo with the following info: Smith Vaughn, born Feb 12, 1885, married Feb 15, 1904, died June 8, 1954; Myrtie Tidwell Vaughn, born Sept 17, 1888; Esther Mae Vaughn, born Oct 30, 1905; Ethel Marie Vaughn, born Jan 19, 1907, died Sept 30, 1967.
