My Great Grandfather Patrick TIERNEY married Margaret DILLON and they settled in San Francisco before 1870. Her mother's maiden name was GREELEY/GREALEY and she was from Athenry, Galway, Ireland.

Nicholas and Julia (GREALEY)DILLON and children in 1860 Waltham Mass census. Family next shows up in SF in 1870 census with Patrick TIERNEY married to their daughter Margaret.
I can also track a MEEHAN family that is mixed with them in San Francisco as Julia's sister Mary GREELEY married a MEEHAN.
The DILLONS and MEEHANS were in the iron foundry/moulder trade.
