Hi, Diane --
You and I are related through our common ancestor Consider Tiffany [3rd gen.] (b. April 28, 1703) who was the father of Samuel [4th gen.] (b. July 13 1740). My line comes down through Consider [4th gen.], the brother of Samuel [4th gen.] which is your line.
I have in my possession the original manuscript of a book written by Consider Tiffany [4th gen.] circa 1778 in Hartsfield, CT, where he was confined by his neighbors owing to his outspoken Toryism during the "War for Independence". Even after 221 years, the manuscript is still readable, though many pages have decayed owing to age. The book contains a complete handwritten copy of the U.S. Constitution among many other gems including a description of a taxpayers revolt in Barkhamsted, CT, where the "ladies" of the town tarred and feathered the tax collector. I am slowly [and very carefully] scanning the book into the computer to record it on CD ROM for posterity if anyone is interested.
