I am looking for proof that Christopher Tilghman/Tillman was father of Roger Tillman who lived in Virginia in mid 1600's. Roger supposedly was father of Christine Tillman whio married Robert Abernathy in Charles City Co VA .

I found in Virginia Cavaliers by Nell M. Nugent, Vol. I, page 118
George Mynifie, Merchant, transported Christopher Tilllman among the total of 60 persons, to Virginia. Recorded at James City Co. VA , April, 19, 1638.

Could this be the father of Roger Tilghman/Tillman? Does anyone have a copy of either's will?
Does anyone have a copy of Stephen F. Tillman's book, "Hope Sustains the Farmer" or "Spec Alit Agricocom, 1939" [unsure which title book is listed under], that might shed some light on the family connection of above Tighlman's?
I found Capt. Samuel Tilghman listed as- Lately come from England , 20 March, 1657 in Northumbria Collections, M-Z, 1645-1720.
Lancaster Co VA Record Book, No. 2, 1637-1640, p 247. August 21, 1662, John Simon's agrees to serve Samuel Tilghman from the date hereof until his first or next arrival in Virginia or Maryland and during the next four years. Signed Samuel Tilghman.
Westmoreland Co VA, 1653-1657, page 33
Power of Attorney, 14 Nov. 1654. Nicholas Haywood of London, Merchant, to " my servants and factors', Gifford Long and Richard Foote and a cargo of several goods put aboard the ship " Golden Fortune" commanded by Capt Samuel Tilghman to be transported to Virginia or Maryland. Recorded 2 April, 1655.
Can anyone tell me who Samuel was and if he was related to Christopher Tighlman?
So many questions, so little time. Thanx for any help you can offer. Ginny Keefer vlkeeder@comcast.net
