Searching for documentation on the line of Abigail Tillinghast(1711-1778) Mother of Sarah Dyer Clarke(1744-1811)who married William Corey of my Corey line.I have Googled this family name and turned up a mish-mash of conflicting dates and facts and all the researchers seem to be in disagreement with each other. Abigail's line is covered in depth in Wayne Tillinghast's book "The Tillinghast in America, The First Four Generations", published 2006 by the Rhode Island Genealogical Society. Abigail Tillinghast is the daughter of Benjamin and Sarah (Rhodes) Tillinghast. She was born in Providence about 1708 and died about 1778. She married Elisha Clarke in December, 1734. Her father, Benajmin Tillinghast, is the son of Pardon Tillinghast and Lydia Taber. Regards, Todd Lawrence
