African American TILLIS/TULLOS From Trinity and Houston County TX

Would like info on Nicholas (Nick) and Missouri Tillis or Tullos (my great grandparents) who were listed in the 1870 and 1880 census for Trinity County TX. with their family.
1870
Willis,Cynthie
1880
Willis,Mit,Mary,Arie,Callie,Nancy.
They had more children later including Lula (my grandmother).
Would like to know who were Nick and Missouri's parents and where did they come from. Were they slaves? If so where were they before coming to Texas.
