Jumps From Train To Escape Hanging
Little Rock, Ark., Nov. 14. -- Arthur Tillman, under sentence to be hanged for murder, who escaped today from a passenger train aboard which he was being brought to Little Rock for safe keeping was recaptured late this afternoon near Cass, Ark, according to a dispatch received here. He will be brought to the penitentiary early tomorrow. Tillman leaped from the train near Perry. He was recaptured about twenty miles from that town.

Paris, Ark., July 15. -- Maintaining his innocence, Arthur Tillman, 22 years old, was hanged in the jail yard here today for the murder of his sweetheart, Amanda Stephens, 19 years old, whose body was found in an abandoned well at Delaware, Ark., last March. Both the Stephens and Tillman families were present.
