like carolyn martin, i have read the messages with considerable interest. i am interested in my timbers relatives past and present. nancy coats, daughter of josiah and mary terril coates,born in 1834 in ohio co. virginia (w. va) married charles h. timbers aug. 11, 1859 in marion county, iowa. nancy is my grandfather's sister. believe they moved to missouri where they had one child, alice, that i know of. in the 1880 federal census alice is recorded as living in her uncles' residence with her grandmother mary. recorded as 20 years of age born in missouri. if you can add to this, i woulg appreciate hearing from you via e-mail. j. g coates
