Timko Adoption Update

My mom finally found out more information on her birth mother. Her name was Marianne Timko and she was 22y/o in 1959. She lived in Ohio and was on her way to California to see her brother when she stopped in Oklahoma City to have her child. She struggled with the decision to give my mom up according to the file. If anyone any further information about a woman fitting this description please let me know. I would love to find out if my mom has half siblings out there somewhere!

Timko babies adopted out of Catholic Charities in Oklahoma?

I posted this a few monts ago, but thought I'd repost just in case I can get anymore hits on it:

My mother was adopted right after her birth in 1959 and just recently found out that her birth name was Elizabeth Timko and we think we've found that her mother's name was Mary Ann Timko. My mother was adopted through the Catholic Church and was born at St. Francis Hospital in Oklahoma City. I was curious if anyone knew anything about the Timko family in that area.
Timko from Ohio/Pennsylvania

I'm helping my son with his 6th grade Family Tree assignment. Looking for information regarding my Dad's family. My grandfather's name was Frank Timko who lived and most recently died (within the last 6 yrs. or so) in Ohio and was a twin. He was married to Sophia Petrella (?) Timko (my grandmother) who has lived in Springboro, PA for over 35 years (she's in her 90's now). Dad says the family history has been hush-hush for years and his mother would never talk about it. Their children include David, Russell (my Dad), Frank, Carl, Allen, and Diane. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Brothers are Michael, John and William FIrko. One or all of them fought in one of the WW's. Rose also had a sister that lived in Pa named Catherine (Aunt Kay to us).

Zsuzsanna Timko (1883-1954) arrived Ellis Island May 31, 1900 on the ship Barbarossa sailing from Bremen, Germany. Her place of residence in Hungary was village of Zemplen, Zemplen Megye, ethnicity listed as Magyar.

On the ship with Zsuzsanna from Zemplen were Erzsebeth Toth 17 years, Borbala Balog 17y, Julia Pal 15y, Janos Novak 23y, and Gusztov Kozma 34y. These names maybe related.

Zsuzsanna had a brother Andrew (1879-1929) who married Danko (1883-1970), sister Barbara Bertha (1890-1965) who married Peter Dargo (1881-1965) and sister Julia (1892-1969) who married Stephen Nagy (1889-1979). They all lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Mifflin, Munhall, Homestead) area.

Would appreciate help in locating relatives in the United States. In addition to Pittsburgh, I believe relatives were in Perth Amboy, New Jersey area at turn of the century. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Mary

Michael and Anna Timko

I'm searching for information about Michael M. Timko and his wife, Anna Pipa/Titea. (One person told me her maiden name Pipa and another told me it was Titea) Michael was born Nov 24, 1880. Anna was born Sept 11, 1890. I don't know either person's middle name, or the dates of their deaths. They had 12 children (7 boys and 5 girls) whose birth years range from 1910 to 1935. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

John Timko (Zedsy)

My Great Grandfather on my father's mother's side was John Timko, known to us as being Russian. He married his wife Anna in an unusaul way to us in this day and age. She was from CHEZLOSOVOKIA excuse that spelling if off. I'm sure it was a dowry, but as I had heard it was traded for $50 and a goat in the old country. They migrated to Edwardsville Pa. where they lived out their lives and are buried. My Grandmother was Helen who married Joseph Wdowiak. She had 3 other sisters one being Vera Aunt Bibsy as we knew her. Another not knowing her name and another who when playing with other children many many years ago where playing cowboys and Indian actually burned her at the stake. I hear tell that there was also a boy who must had died a baby and never had a tombstone which my father always wanted to place on the grave for his mother, but died before he had a chance. The names that do stem from the girls that married that I know of are Drugauss and Pastula of the Wilkes-Barre area of Pa. Spelling might be off somewhat. My father's cousin Andy Pastula lives in Luzurne, Pa. The last I heard of Aunt Bibsy was that she was living with her daughter down in Baltimore Maryland. I f this rings some bells I would like to hear from you. Thanks for reading Cousin D. Marc Doviak dmdoviak@yahoo.com
