Do you have anything on JOSEPH THOMAS TINDALL.
He was born 1857 in Wilkinson Co Ga and lived in Orlando, Orange Co FL from 1920 on. He died there in 1925. His wife was Mattie Gardner, she died in Belleview FL 1955.
His father was David Daniel Tindall who was the son of William
b1798 in NC.

Could your Alexander be my G Grandfather? I don't know a middle name, but from pages in my Mom's bible he was married to Caroline Padget. I have his birth as 1825 abt. They had 7 children. My Grandfather was Joseph Tindall born 1870. He married Annie Harrell in 1896. I can find nothing on him or them after census of 1900.Are any of these people part of your family? Thanks for the info. I have actually been sending some info on the Tindall familyI which I came across, to a lady who calls herself "Vanclaire" and she has some connection with my Toyne ancestors. I think she woud be very interested in what you have sent to me. I don't know how to transfer your message to her so if you resend it to "Vanclaire" she should get it. If it doesn't work let me know and I will contact her and see if she can contact you.

I have ancestors from Lincolnshire by the name of William and Mary TINDALL/TYNEDALE/TYNDALL. According to my research, William & Mary lived for the most part in the Village of Tealby and William was said to be a gardener on the Estate of Bayons Park Manor lived in the cottage alongside of the entrace to the estate and was the gatekeeper for many many years. William c.4 Mar 1820 in North Willington Lincolnshire married Mary Ann Wadingham (date unknown) Mary Ann c. 4 Jul 1819 Lissington. William and Mary had a son Robert b. 25 April 1859 who came to New Zealand abt. 1850 and went under the surname of Tyndall
William was the son of John Tyndale c. 26 Feb 1759 Kirkby-cum-osgodby and Elinor Kirk m.7 Feb 1816 Tealby
I have more if this family fits in with yours.

I am back at the Lincolnshire archives next Thursday I will see if I can find anything out there. I only had three hours there today and I have got more confused with my Thomas Tindal. He is Tindale in the 1841 census. Parents William and Mary. On the IGI site his parents are William and Mary. I looked at the exact date and took a copy at the archives which actually shows his parents as William and Mary so I guess the LDS site is inaccurate. I went on to try and find out when William and Mary married but was unsuccessful. I found Thomas Tindal's death in the gainsborough workhouse records and they are sending me a copy. William and Mary come from Ashby Scunthorpe on the census but I cannot find a birth or marriage to get back any further. I guess I got a little somewhere today. Unfortunately I ran out of time. I think Thomas Tindal and parents are keeping me on my toes

Would like to exchange information with relatives descended from William and Susannah TINDALL of Pickhill with Roxby, North Yorkshire, England. William was baptized in 1732. They were the parents of the following children:
1. Elizabeth Tindall (bapt 1753; buried 1753 both at Pickhill)
2. Elizabeth Tindall (bapt 1754; buried 1815 at Hornby Churchyard near Bedale. She married John Rainforth in 1774 at Pickhill; they later moved to Hornby where they raised their family and later died. They are my direct ancestors).

I am looking for the Tindall who married my grt grt grandmother -- Sarah Caroline Roland (her maiden name). I believe he was her fourth, and last, husband. She was born 1 Jan 1844 in GA, married a George Collins on 26 Jul 1861, Volusia county FL -- then came husband # 2 --Isaiah Green --they had daughter Nancy Catherine Green (my grt grandma) who was born 11 May 1869; #3 was John Lanier, married 3 Aug 1883 in Orange or Osceola county, FL; and I am looking for #4, who is a Tindall. I have heard names of John Tindall and Alex Tindall suggested. Around 1900 Sarah went to Utah, as her daughter, Lottie Lanier had married a James Platt from UT. Sarah died there in July of 1902. Is there anyone who can shed light on this Tindall husband? I could have him 'out of order" too, just going by 2 marriage dates I have and Lottie Lanier's birthdate... Margaret Mary (Tindall) Mahan, the daughter of Miles J. and Elizabeth (Bosold) Tindall was born January 26, 1915, in Graettinger, Iowa and departed this life on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Emmetsburg Care Center in Emmetsburg, Iowa, at the age of 93.
She received her early education in the rural Hoprig school, and later graduated from Graettinger High School in 1933.
On May 16, 1943, she was united in marriage to Paul Mahan at Camp Barkley, Texas. After their marriage the couple made their home in Graettinger. Margaret worked at Palo Alto County Hospital and later Emmetsburg Care Center for fourteen years.
Margaret was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; Altar and Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters of America.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Joseph Mahan and his wife, Meridee of Humboldt; Mark Mahan of Basehor, Kansas; Mary Baier and her husband, Lynn of Kenyon, Minnesota; Robert Mahan and his wife, Beverly of Emmetsburg, Iowa; Edwin Mahan of Des Moines, Iowa; eight grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Mae Torrence; brother Edwin "Brick" Tindall and his wife, Carol all Graettinger.
Preceding Margaret in death are her parents; husband; son, Alan; four brothers, Ralph; Raymond; John and Arthur; and three sisters, Alice; Mabel and Dorothy.

Thomas Tindall

Could anyone help me in finding information on Thomas Tindall born around 1836 in Lincolnshire. The census says Yaddlethorpe. I found a Christening in Bottesford on the 9th January 1937 but I cannot get any further back. On the christening it says that his parents are William and Elizabeth but I cannot find them on any census to get any further back. Thomas died in the Gainsborough workhouse around 1905 and was married to Annie Toyne. I do not know what happened to Annie and cannot locate her death. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a middle name with this? My grandfather was named William Clyde Tindall. He lived in Bosque County, Texas and died in 1977. I believe his ancestors came through Tennessee.

As for a Martha and Robert in SC, I do not have a match. THis is the closest I've come. I always suggest going to the Church of Latter Day Saints Family Research Center. They have an extensive library and their website is familysearch.org

My great, great grandmother was Ellen Emily Tindall Robinson born between 1837 and 1839 in Scarborough, Yorkshire. Her mother was Elizabeth. In the 1861 census she was married to Luke Bracewell (my gggrandfather) and was living with Charles Robinson in Scarborough. I do not have any information on Ellen or Elizabeth.

sorry you can't find him at addlethorpe. I am tracing the Toynes and there are many of them all over lincolnshire. I seem to think that I have seen a Thomas Tindall at Grantham. Will look back through my notes and see if I have any connection with Annie Toyne.

I have just been on Find My Past looking for someone else and thought I would look for Thomas Tindall. He's on the 1861 Census at Glanford Bridge and his birthplace has been transcribed as at THEDDLETHORPE Lincs. He was a servant u/m aged 25 B.1836 and was an Ag Lab Carter. Hope this will be of help. Will keep looking for his parents.
