Dewitt Clinton Freeman born in Michigan. The son of Edgar Freeman and Anna Halstead. He married once in Michigan later left there and went into Champaign Illinois where her remarried the second time to my Great Grand-mother. I do have proof of his parents Edgar Freeman and Anna Halstead... it's on his marriage linense I have in 1895. No keep this in mine he had a Uncle by the same name as his Dewitt Clinton Freeman (Edgar Freeman brother) do not get those two mixed up with one another. Edgar Freeman died and his wife Anna Halstead Freeman remarried and my Great Grand-pa could not stand his step-dad. I want to find out who my Great Grand-pa Dewitt Clinton Freeman married the first time around and if he had any children and if they are still living. I was a Tindle and my father spelled it Tindle but his brother spelled it Tindell use to make me ill for my uncle and his children spelling it Tindell. Which the right way was Tindle.

I did not find Cinday Suters Tindle in my books, but that doesn't mean anything. She may have gone by another name, but without a little more information I can't help. There are several Tindells that were rejected in the Miller applications, and there were a couple of Tindles who were admitted, but no one with the name Cinday. There were also Suteer, Suiter and Suter families also admitted, but without looking at the actual applications, I can't tell if Cinday was related to any of them.
I also looked for her and Waldo in the 1900 and 1910 census, and only found an Ernest Tindle in the 1910. No Cinday or Waldo. I don't know what to tell you. Have you tried usgenweb for marriage records? If I were you I would keep trying to locate her or Waldo in the census, before trying anything else. That way you would know what area she was in and it might lead you to more records. Sorry I couldn't help. Good Luck.

We think Waldo Tindle had a brother Robert who married a Barbra

To be honest we dont really know that much and its difficult to get family members to tell us anything.

All we know is she was marrried to Waldo Tindle who was born in 1895 she was apparently older but how much we dont know and she died after her son Ernest was born in 1915. Every search for her turns up a blank even the census records 1930 and backwards doesnt show her listed. Any help you can give us is very much appreciated.

The other thing I cant seem to find is marriage records, they dont appear in any searches that I do and wondered if I was doing something wrong.

Mirry, I will look in my set of "Cherokee By Blood" volumes and see IF I can find any Suters and/or Tindles that might be a connection for you.Do you have any more information on Cinday, such as her parents or siblings names? Do you know where Cinday was born? Where was she living in 1900? Where did she die? If you can tell me these things it might help a little. Let me know and I'll get back to you.

Moses Tindle was born in 1776 in New Jersey. He married Sussanah Kindor on Oct. 12, 1797 in Jefferson County Kentucky.

Peggy, I am not sure which generation you are talking about but I am sure we connect to the same family. My ggrandmother, Margaret Jane Tindal McCary, lived in Wood Co, TX. Her father was Isaac S. Tindal. His father was Purnal Tindal. I know my grandmother had some Tindal uncles in TX.

your mom is my aunt. her name now is Diane Keown. She lives in Owensboro. She is married to Kelly Keown.Your mom parents are william H. Kessenger Sr and Barbara Elizabeth Tindle. My mom is Sophia Kessenger Aubrey. Our grandparents are deceased. You have a half brother name Tim Berry Wallace Jr. And a half sister name Stephanie Wallace, she is married last name unknown. Quite probably my Isaac Matison Tindle is related to your Gertie Caldona Tindle. My Isaac's parents are William and Anna Matlock Tindle. Isaac also had a younger sister (who I haven't been able to track) named Gertie C. Tindle.

If you have info on Gertie, I'd be happy to trade info on Isaac, et al.

Milford was the youngest son of Isaac Matison Tindle and Mary (or Merrie) Matilda Fox, both originally of Bearcreek, Cedar Co., MO.

Milford Matison Tindle
Born September 1, 1913 in Boise, Idaho to Isaac and Mary Tindle, Milford Matison Tindle passed away January 19, 2005 in a local care hospital.

He married Nancy Lee Hamilton in San Francisco on November 23, 1938. She died in 1984. Milford was in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving at Normandy, Northern Fance and Central Europe.

He and his wife co-owned and operated Mils' Waffle Shop on Main Street and two other restaurants in Chico before retiring. During his absence during WII, his wife Nancy and sister Zeffie ran the restaurant until his return.

He enjoyed hunting and fly-fishing with his faithful Cocker Spaniel "Sam". Milford enjoyed snow skiing well into his 80's.

He was preceded in death by three siblings: sister Zeffie Tunison and brothers Theron Tindle and Zester Tindle. He leaves his companion Evelyn Craig and nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at 1 p.m. at Glen Oaks Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of the Brusie Funeral Home.
