I just read your post and we are indeed distant cousins. Harvey Tingler was my gggrandfather. I have a few pictures of the Tinglers that I will share and I have been to the cemetery you mentioned. Marsha

Elizabeth Tingler Collins and her children

I am looking for information on Elizabeth Tingler Collins (d/o Henry Tingler and Mary Phryne) and any of her children. I had found that she married William Collins in 1831. Possibly found them in the 1850 census of Harrison Co, WV and the 1860 census of Ritchie Co, WV with several children listed. I later found a William Collins in the 1870 census in Putnam Co, MO with some of the same similar named children. I am trying to determine if this is the same William that was married to Elizabeth and if these are some of her children now in Putnam Co. Elizabeth Tingler Collins passed away around 1860-1861. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Where does Catherine Baker Tingler fit into the lineage? I am descended from Michael > Jacob > Solomon. I have information that Solomon Tingler married a Catherine. But I am unsure of her maiden name.

johannes Dingler/Tingler immiagrated from Dagershein Phlaz Germany in 1753 on Queens of Denmark to Philadelphia. Born in 1725 died in 1785 North Hampton C. PA Married Maria Magdalena Gaertner in 1728.

This is a reply to an old query. Michael Dingler/Tingler was the son of Johannes Dingler b.1725 in Dagershein Pflaz Germany d. 1785 North Hampton C. PA. Married in 1728 to Maria Magdalena Gaertner b 1728. Immigrated Sept. 11, 1753 on the ship Queens of Denmark to Philadelphia, PA.

I'm also related to Michael Dingler Tingler,do you know what county in Wv that he is buried in.Maybe Pendleton or Harrison?
Any clue would be appreciated.Catherine Baker Tingler is buried in a field in Pendleton Co.Wv and her grave is marked with a stone and a steel rod which was put by the rock by the land owner.

Jacob was born 1784 according to my records at the North Fork of Potomac,Rockingham Co.,Va now Pendleton Co.,Wv and I found this at the Allegheny Co. Courthouse records,he witnessed 2 patented land transactions on 7 Oct. 1806 in Pendleton Co.,Va now Wv and he must have moved to Botetourt Co.,Va after the witnessing ,this is when he married Margaret Persinger on 18 Aug. 1808.I was at the courthouse in that County and saw the record ,then I went again to Alleghany Co courthouse and saw his record of mg. to Barbara Fogle on 23 Sept 1867 and he died 4 Apr 1868 this is where I saw that his father was Michael Tingler and ?? some say a Zutz some say Mary Eliz. Miller.There is info at Ancestry.Com on Jacob's line.
He isn't my line,I started with the older Tingler's hoping to find the father of Elias but haven't verified who it is at the present time.
Pendleton Co. was formed 1787 from Augusta,Hardy,Rockingham and Bath.
Rockingham Co.,Va was formed in 1778 from Augusta Co.,hope this isn't too much rambling,maybe you could e-mail me privately.Thanks

Hello- I too am related to Michael Tingler. The Tingler name is of German heritage. As from the fact they came here from there.
Michael is buried in WV i was told in a field with no marker.

can you gave me more infor on miles and his first wife plz when were they married and when was sarah tingler borned im looking for my great grandmother she married in 11-11 1896 to a william spears on the record it said she was more them 18 at that time im not for sure if she was or not if so i think she was borned maybe around 1870 to 1878 so plz let me know if i have at last got a hit i have bee looking now for 6 years im head hurt from hiting so many walls

I purchased a very interesting (I think) order book from a co-op. I would like to make it available to his family if possible. It is a history of Albert's work as a contractor on houses in Buffalo from April 1916 to June 1929.
It lists addresses and customer names and materials used and prices charged. Very informative and gives a delightful insight into the times and prices of that era.
Would expect reimbursement of $20 plus shipping.

Thanks to your response to my post. PAYTON was my grandfather and although I do have names of my direct line of ancestors,(back to alleged immigrant Johannes Dingler) I am now looking to connect with others to fill out family relationships and see how my line might be connected to other lines of Tinglers. Especially interested in proving or disproving "rumor" in my family that our family name was TINGLE.
