Does your Benjamin, born 1838 in West Bromwich, have brothers William 1835, Joseph 1837, James 1847, Richard 1855, and sisters Elizabeth 1842 and Delilah 1850? (All born in West Bromwich)
If so then his father was Benjamin, born 1811 in West Bromwich and not John. Benjamin, 1811, had a brother named John but born 1807.
I hope we are talking about the same family group because if we are I can give you a lot more information on the Tipler family.

We may have two different Ben Tipler's here. All my Tipler's were born in Staffordshire.
Ben Tipler (b 1901, Walsall) father was Benjamin (b 1870, Oldbury), his grandfather was Benjamin (b 1838, West Bromwich), his great grandfather was a John (b 1803, West Bromwich). This is as far back as I have got at the moment.
Maybe you have some information I don't have or have you got further back?

Ben's great,great grandfather was also called Benjamin and was born in Southam in 1786. Do you happen to know his parents?

I am trying to find any information relating to a Ben Tipler born in Walsall, England 1901. Is father was Benjamin Tipler born 1870 and his mother was Mary Ann Ellen Tipler nee Roper born 1876.
He lived in Walsall moved to Leicester in 1929 and then back to Walsall. I know he had a son Derrick Allen Tipler, born 1929.
Any information about the family would be grateful.

My name is Oliver Tipler and I was born and bred in Northampton. I don't know anything about Albert Tipler but I have a story to tell you about the Tipler family, I cannot remember all the details because I heard this story a long time ago. The Tipler family originated around the Little Billing, Great Billing and Cogenhoe area. As the family grew a few members of the family moved to Canada (cannot remember where) and started a business (cannot remember what)and built a village called Tipler Lodge (I believe). The family then grew out in Canada and the original members who moved over came back to Northampton to die in there hometown. The families grew out in Canada and in Northampton.
I'm sorry I haven't been able to tell you anything on Albert Tipler but I have been in contact with a distant cousin whose mother was a Tipler and have shared lots of information about our family.
Again, I am sorry I cannot tell you anything on Albert Tipler.

Seeking any information about an R.C. TIPLER, Photographer, of 68 Mill Street, Barwell (possibly the Reginald C. TIPLER whose birth was registered in 1913 in Hinkley R.D.?).

I'm trying to ascertain when he was in business in Barnwell which would help me date a photograph (no actual connection to the family, I'm afraid!).

I am from the Tipler line. My Great Grandmother was Kalice Tipler often called Alice. Alice had a brother Thomas born about 1874. I know that their family came to the United States from England approx 1850. They also lived in the Sturgeon Bay/Green Bay WI area. I now live in GA and would like to find out if their is a connection. Alice and Thomas parents were William and Hannah Tipler.

I would love to hear from you to find out if this is the same Thomas.

Hello,
I don't know if this will help but I have found in my research of Kalice Tipler my great grandmother. George Tipler and Sarah Anne came over from England in 1851 along with their children Cornelius, Mary Anne, William and John. William married Hannah and had at least seven children that I can confirm. Jahn(John)W., George, Kalice, Michael, Thomas, Maria and Harvey.

I married into the Tipler family but I am trying to research his side of the family since this is a hobby for me. I have done some research that has come up with the name Lester Tipler or Vester Tipler. I believe this to be the same person because for both they were married to a Luella/Lueta Stenno. If you have any info to sure, I would appreciate it.

My grandfather's name was Earl Tipler, but I only know that he resided in St. Paul, Minnesota. I have a lake home in Wisconsin and was until now unaware that there is a town in Wisconsin bearing the Tipler name. I may have to make a pilgrimage. Do you know if the Earl you mentioned could be my grandfather? He passed away in 1986 at the age of 80 or so. I can report that there is a small Tipler contingent in Minnesota (five in my own family plus my parents, two sisters and four cousins). I am also surprised to hear of Tiplers in England. I had always assumed that the Tipler clan was from Germany.

I have a distant link to a Susan Tipler (b.circa 1858) of Wisconsin. She married Leonard Thompson. They had two children:

* Mabel L. Tipler (b. 1876)
* William Tipler (b.1879)

Mabel marries (circa 1895) Walter Pearson of Wisconsin.

Our group of Tipler's is out of Tipler WI.(Don't blink you might miss it) Most of them are in or around the Green Bay area now, several transplanted families in GA., of which I am one. I'm researching the ancestry of Hesicali "Mays" Robinson. His dad & granddad were both named Jefferson ("Jeff" for short.) Dad was said to have been born around April 1888 in Louisiana. His wife was Rodia/Rhoda Wright, born around 1893 in Mississippi. Granddad Jeff was said to have been born in Aug. 1865 in Miss. or LA. His common-law wife was Flora Birdsaw (Birdsong?), said to have been born in May 1873 in Miss. or LA. Dad, Grandad & family were found in the 1920 census in Mississippi Township, Desha County, Arkansas. They were also found in the 1900 census in Tensas Parish, Louisiana. It is believed that "Mays" was born around 1930 in Marion, Arkansas.

I'm trying to research Mary(?) Maude Tipler, born about 1893, possibly in Stocksville, Mississippi. She was married?/had at least 12 children with Graft Coleman. Both were African-Americans. The family was found in the 1920 US Federal Census in Lake Cormorant, DeSoto County, Mississippi. Graft was also found alone, with someone's name scribbled out, in the 1910 Census in Beat 1, Bolivar Co., Miss. Their children included Andres, Annie May, Abraham, Alberta, Roxie Ruth, Queen Esther, Dolores Maudine, Sara Lee, Ellessie, Herbert, Richard, and Lizzie Jerline. The last 7 children were said to have been born in Memphis, Tennessee.

I noticed that you are a Tipler that came from Essex, my late mother Pauline was a Tipler before she she married and I know her family moved to Romford, Essex while she stayed in central London. She had 3 sisters and I know one the youngest was Maurine and a younger brother, Melvin, who had moved to Wales.

I would be interested to find out if you are part of this family.
