I am looking for relatives, descendants, & anyone researching the Bohemian/Czech surnames Tollar (Tolar)& Silhanek. My great grandparents Petr & Anna (Silhanek) Tollar/Tolar emigrated from the Plzen area of Czech Republic to Chicago in 1882. I am especially looking for extended family from those areas, & I am willing to share info on the families in Czech Republic. Frank & Thersa Tollar descendants

I am looking for the descendants of Frank (1874 Austria - 1907 Chicago) & Thersa (1878 Austria - ???), who were married in 1899 or 1900. Frank's gravestone at Bohemian National Cemetary says "loving husband & father". Thersa probably remarried since I cannot find a Thersa Tollar in any records after her husbands death. Edward & Jennie Mae Tollar

I am looking for the descendants of Edward & Jennie Mae Tollar of Chicago. The 1930 census lists their very young daughter Laura & Jennie's (prev. marriage) daughter & son-in-law, Dorothy & Walter Reichle. Obits for both Jennie & Edward list "their" children as Laura Vaillancourt & Dorothy, Lester, Harold Hanson. Please contact me if you have any info on any of these people & their descendants. Silhanek - Tollar connection

I am looking for descendants & relatives of the Silhanek family that is related to Peter & Anna (Silhanek) Tollar of Chicago. A "Fr Silhanek" appears on a Tollar baptismal certificate. The Tollars emigrated from Bohemia/Austria in 1882 to west 19th Street, Chicago & there attended St. Procopius Church. Frank & Theresa (Sikova) Tollar

This is to correct a previous message in which I listed Theresa's name as Thersa (as listed on the 1900 census). It is Theresa or Therese, & her maiden name was Sikova, the feminine form of Sika. I am looking for any descendants of Frank & Theresa, although she probably remarried after Frank's early death in 1907. I am looking for any relatives of James Tollar, who married Anna Sykora (her twin was Mary Sykora Halik) & was the father of 5: Mildred Catherine, Dorothy Marie, James, Elmer, Nancy. Dorothy Marie Tollar Wanderer was my mother, and I know very little about her father since he passed away long before I was born in 1943. I also know more about the Sykoras & Haliks than I do about the Tollars. James, I believe, was a butcher in the market of my other grandfather, Alwin E J Wanderer, in Chicago, but my mother was born in North Judson, Indiana. I was surfing the Wanderer message board when I saw your message about Dorothy Marie Tollar (Wanderer). She was my mother, so I thought I'd reply to your message to see if you ever got info on the Tollar family. I know very little, since her father died long before I was born. Therefore, I know more about the Sykoras (my grandmother, Anna, was a Sykora) & Haliks (my grandmother's twin was a Halik). I don't do genealogy (yet - I probably will do more after I retire from the Natl Archives) & don't even have a computer (I live in the woods on the Anchorage hillside). I will try to look at the Tollar message board in the next few weeks. Anyway, feel free to contact me by email, if you have any questions. I am pretty curious now about what is out there on the Tollar family, & I will fill you in on the little I can remember hearing.

I am looking for any information on John W Edwards b 1860 AR and died in or around Waxahachie TX. He was married to Exie Ann Tolar b 1856 TN. She also died in or around Waxahaxchie, TX. Thier children were: Rosa Lillian, Bert, Bob, Newell, Georgia, Lonnie and Claudia. Any information would be greatly appreciate. I am willing to share.
