Am doing some research on someone buried not far from my Grandmother in Green's Chapel, Sevier County, Arkansas.
Her name is Jessie Rebecca Watson Tollett.
DOB: 1908 DOD: 9/28/38 Buried with infant Mark Joseph Tollett.
Husband: Reuben Tollett, Date of Marriage: 1933, Sevier County Arkansas.
Parents were Joseph and Lena Watson.
Does anyone out there have any historical records or pictures? If so, please let me know. Thank you. Melanie

Do any of your Tollett books mention any slaves or have any wills included? My family were taken to Arkansas by the Tollett and Brown families. The town of Tollette in Howard County, AR was named for my relative because he was the first postmaster.

I think that my grandfather (Noah Webster Tollett) had a brother named Austin. They lived around Non, Ok which is about 20 miles SE of Holdenville. You can email me direct at james.d.tollett@us.army.mil

DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Sgt. Norman L. Tollett, 30, of Columbus, Ohio, died Apr. 28, in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when his unit came in contact with enemy forces using small arms fire during combat patrol operations. Tollett was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.

I am still looking for my GGrandfather's Brother who emigrated to America in 1920's. My Grandfather's name was Arthur Tollett married a Fanny Vick. My Grandfather was a publican. I do not know the first name of my Great Uncle. He

I am searching for a Frank/Frances Tollett who emigrated to the states somewhere with his wife and daughter in the 1912-1920. Frank is my GGrandfather's brother his name was Arthur Tollett. Frank was born in Battersea London in 1874.
His daughter's name could have been Marion or celia. There must be someone somewhere who knows of him.......

Tollette with an "e" and UK connection

Are there any Tollettes out there? My husband's grandfather was Harry Tollette who was born about 1880-1885 in New Castle on Tyne in England. He emigrated to Canada when he was about 15 and eventually settled in the US in Minnesota. He married Susan Bell and had 5 children: Henry (my husband's father), Alma, Richard, Jack and Fanny. We have always wondered if he added the"e" to the last name (because of the French influence in Canada). We have traveled to England several times and have found other Tollettes so we know they exist, but Tollett seems to be the more common spelling. Would appreciate any insight. Thanks!

Update based on TX death cert : Sarah Malinda is the d. of Ennis Tollent (s. of Mark and Cynthia Tollett) and Rebecca Kesterson (d. of John and Malinda Kesterson) All of Arkansas per LDS. William Thomas (aka W. T.) Lovell is the s. of W. T. Lovell Sr. and Partine (Phartine or Parthena) Logan. born in Alabama. Again further info would be appreciated.

My mother is Lela Tollett Hassler. Her father is John Harrison Tollett. We are from John Tollett's son John's line that stayed in Tennessee when the rest of the family moved further west. I am interested in finding info on Margaret Brown's family and John Sr.'s mother also And if anyone has any other info they would like to share with me, my e-mail is artsybren@aol.com. There are some of the Tollett family who live in East Ridge, TN who have a book with the family crest on it. They like most of the Tollett's are decended from George Tollett who settled in the Sequatchie Valley in the early 1800's.

Interesting finding your message..I have just returned from UK, and have also been over several times in the last three months. I have located my grandmothers birth certificate in Ireland, but did not know where my grandfather was born in England. Thanks for the information. Unsure regarding the "e", but many immigrants changed the spelling of last names around the turn of the century.
Unfortunately Bud is not interested in communication with me, and I cannot change his thinking. Hope you are all well.
