Ok, so I know this may be close to impossible to find anything, but I have exhausted my resources and could really use some help please!
My grandfather, Charles Carrington Toney (birth name) was adopted. DOB 2/3/1924, he was caucasion. He went by Charlie Lee Helton as a child. He grew up in Mt.Hope and/or Beckley, WV. Joined military possible early 1940's and they made him go by his birth name of Toney. His birth mother's name was Maude B. abt 1890's or very early 1900's, I do not know her maiden name, but Maude was an alcoholic and could not take care of him. He was raised by Mrs. Rose Helton born abt 1890's or very early 1900's who may have been his aunt. I also do not know her maiden name.
I am looking for any information on Charles, Maude or Rose. Thanks!
