i would like to hear from anyone with information on the tonners from fauldhouse. jock tonner was my grandfather's brother, their father was daniel, born in ireland around 1850. jock, i believe, died in london.

i am researching my husbands familytree. his ggrandfather ambrose tonner married mary mochan 1874 in campsie (stirlingshire) had a son michael 1875. does anyone know of relatives of tonner or mochan living in campsie.

Tonners from Rutherglen, Glasgow and thereabouts

I am reseraching the Tonner branch of my family tree and would love to hear from anyone that has a connection with any of the following and may be able to help take me back further still.

My G'father, James Tonner, b1916 Rutherglen, married to Martha Isabella Garrington, b1915 d1939.

His father, Bernard Tonner, born c1874, died 1945 in Glasgow, married to Ann Dempsey, born c1876, died 1955. They were married in 1895 in Cambuslang.

Bernard's parents were a John Tonner and Mary Kelly, both deceased by 1895.

Ann Dempsey's parents were a John Dempsey and Maria Brown, both alive in 1895.

I understand that Bernard had five other children - Edward, John, Bernard, Agnes and Terence. Terence Tonner was born 1906 and died 1985 in Rutherglen.

I would also love to hear where the name originates from as I believe there may be some French connection in the past on my side.

Hello, I'm researching William Tonner, born in Glasgow, Scotland, on March 31st 1877. We think he emigrated from Britain to the US in 1900 or 1901. We also think that in 1930 he was living with his wife Elizabeth at 225 N Monroe Street, Peoria, Illinois. Grateful for any information about either of them.

Can anyone help me in finding my great grandfather's father. I am unable to obtain a marriage certificat for Thomas Tonner who married Elizabeth Firby in July 1872 in Newcastle on Tyne. The last trace I have is a census return for 1881 in Glasgow, Thomas was born in Ireland in 1833.

I am looking for anyone with a connection to Susan Tonner, who was born in County of Donegal, Ireland in 1833. Susan's father's name was Daniel.

Susan married James Redden in Nov 1854 in Greenock, Scotland. Susan died on 18 April, 1874 in Greenock.

I am looking for information regarding my greatgrandmother Sarah Tonner, who was born in Scotland on or near 2/21/1863. She was the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (Crosby) Tonner. She had three brothers, Charles (b. 1882), Benjamin and Samuel (b. 1865) Samuel married Sarah McDade in 1888.

At some point Sarah immigrated to the US and married Charles lawton in Providence RI

My grandfather was James Tonner, born 11 July 1880 at 9 Wall Street Sunderland. His father was David Daniel Tonner, but may have been registered as Turner, and mother Phoebe Sexton. James Tonner believed he was seventh son. Only other info is that there was a cousin George Valentine Tonner living in Blackpool in 1920s. Possible sister married to Robinson. Daniel Tonner/Turner may have originated from Ireland.

I have a Tillie Tonert who married Gustav Neubauer in Germany in c.1890. The couple moved to Detroit MI shortly after, where Tillie died giving bith to thier only daughter, Hilda in 1892.

My ggrandmother was Maria Sophia Tonner.She married Fredrick Halkens May 12, 1863, died February 8, 1904, buried in Meldorf. Her parents were Claus Tonner, born Dec. 24, 1800 and Christine Magdalena Peters. Claus' parents were Claus Tonner and Frau Antje Karstens.
