I'm trying to find info on my Toohey family that came to Canada & lived in South Emsley Twp., Leeds Co. Thomas Toohey left Ireland with 2 of his sons Thomas & Patrick from his first marriage around 1835. Patrick married & moved to the U.S. where he had a large family. Thomas Jr. left Canada to go to the U.S. & died in the Civil War. Thomas also had 2 other children from this marriage named John & Annie,I got their names from Thomas Toohey's Will, but I don't have anymore info on them. Thomas remarried Catherine Kennedy in Leeds Co. around 1853 & had 4 children with her, Ellen, b. 1854, Timothy, b. 1855 [my gg grandfather], James, b. 1860 & Mary, b. 1863. I haven't been able to find any info on Ellen after the 1871 or Mary after the 1881 census. If anyone is connected to this Toohey family I would like to hear from you.
