Seeking information on Hugh Torrington and his wife, Jane Potter.
Two of their daughters were baptized in St. Decumans, Somerset County, England:
Joan and Sarah were both baptized 4 Dec 1768.
I believe they had two sons by the name of William and Andrew. I don't know of any other children.
Joan Torrington married Edward Risdon 16 Nov 1789 in Watchet, Somerset, England in St. Decuman's Church. Joan died 19 Mar 1838 at the Green Dragon and was buried 24 Mar 1838 at St. Andrew's Church.
They had eleven children:
1. George died as a child
2. Edward died as a child
3. Edward died as a child
4. Elizabeth married William Symons (and they owned the Green Dragon, I've been told)
5. John died as a child
6. Hugh Torrington married Sarah Hurford
7. Edward married Harriet Wood
8. Francis married Elizabeth Harris
9. Jane married Sidney Hogsflesh (or Howard)
10. George married Jane Harris (sister to Elizabeth Harris above)
11. Sarah, George's twin, died as a child
