Hi i have started researching the Tory family from Bourne and would be grateful for any help. My husband is Christopher Riley and his mother was Effie Tory, her father was Tom Tory and mother was Ethel. We have found out that John Riley in Australia (my brother in law) has met with Ken Tory and there is a connexion somewhere. Any info much appreciated. Thanks Jackie

Thomas Tory who married Eliz Maxey in 1784 at Bourne Lincolnshire is possibly the elder brother of Elizabeth Tory who was married to my husband's ancestor John Heads.If your Thomas was born in 1740 at Thurlby ,near Bourne then it is him.I have more info

Henry Marshall Tory was a decendent of the tory and ferguson families from guysborough.William tory was a first cousin to marshall tory ,his wifes name was margaret,their children were james william tory-mar 18 1862 to feb 27 1928
his wife elizabeth anne dec 29,1865 to april 22,1901.These are my childrens great,great,great grandparents.There were6 children,charles howard,edward aubrey,clara martha,lewis clemont,john wilfred,and william bartlett.I have a collection of names and stoeies passed on to me from my childrens greatgrandmother,Queena tory,who is now 102 and doing great...please feel free to email me as i am interested in finding out more.We are direct decendents of the tory's from Elgin and Aberdeen

My great,greats. Thomas came from Hull, Yorkshire. Agnes from Lanark,Scotland. Settled in Curryong,Victoria, Australia. They had about 9 children. Annie, William,George,Everette,Selina, Mary,Edwin,Maggie,& Barbara.
Everett Earl I think is my grandfathers. I think he married a Margaret Houghton (could be Howden), one of their children was Agnes Patterson Tory who settled in Maryborough,Queensland.
