Touchard Jr., Louis V.
TOUCHARD JR., LOUIS V. Age 86, of Rialto, CA, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2007, at 12:36 p.m., with his loving family by his side, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born January 18, 1921, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Louis V. Touchard, Sr. and Laurie Haines Touchard. Louis served in World War II in the Army in North Africa and Italy. In Dallas, Texas, he learned the skill of being an multi- offset pressman and was a printer for 38 years. Louis was a parishioner of Blessed John XXIII. He was active in Claude Pepper Senior Center in Los Angeles for many years and volunteered his time in many areas including being a tour guide. He loved thoroughbred race horses and in his youth yearned to be a jockey. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Louis is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 49 years, Bernida Dave Touchard of Rialto, California; stepdaughter, Pat Bergeron of Las Vegas, Nevada; stepdaughter, Pam Bergeron Fisher of Rialto, California; stepdaughter, Paula Bergeron Kennedy of Chicago, Illinois; stepson, Archie Bergeron, Jr. of Hayward, California; sister, Laura Touchard Armant of Gonzalas, Louisiana; sister, Doris Touchard Jackson of Oakland, California; sister, Lorraine Touchard Jones of Bellflower, California. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Louise Touchard Howard, sister, Thelma Touchard Barthe, sister, Alfreda Touchard Sorina, brother, Joseph Touchard. Visitation: Tues., June 12, 2007, 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. Rosary at Mc Nearney Mortuary. Funeral: Wed., June 13, 2007, 10:00 A.M. at John XXIII in Rialto. Burial: Riverside National Cemetery, 2:00 P.M. Staging Area #1.
