I am looking for ancestors of Louis TOULOUSE, born abt 1842 in Illinois, died 1894 in Calhoun Co IL, buried in Hamburg Cemetery there. His ancestors supposedly were originally named BARTEL and emigrated from France to New Orleans. They changed their name to reflect their birth city at some point (I don't know when) and moved upriver to Illinois (again, I don't know when).
