Tousignant in Iron Mountain, Dickinson, Michigan

How I love a mystery! The name Tousignant came up in my ggrandmother's (Philie Fugere Perigny) obit, Aug 5, 1932 in Iron Mtn. MI. She had been living with her daughter, Mrs. Clara Tousignant, in Iron Mtn. when she passed away. Clara was my grandfather's sister.

Does this name ring any bells for anyone?

Thanks much,
Ellie

Hello! I am descendant of Hughes also. My brick wall is my great-great-grandfather Narcisse Tousignant. He was born 1831/32 in Quebec. Think it was Trois Rivieres. He was married to Marie Massicotte. Can not find any records on him. I especially am looking for his death record. Do not know if he died in Canada or Michigan, USA. I do have some records on his children. His 10th child, Antoinette is my great-grandmother. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Am willing to share what I have. Thank you!!
Let's check the dates and see if anything makes sense: Thomas Tousignant:1852-1936 and Doris Vandel: 1862-1926 did have a son Edward born 1875. His wife was Mary. Their children were Edward Jr., Jean and Lorraine. That's the information as I have it.

My ggrandfather was Telesphore Tousignant who married Philomene Dubuc in I believe Deschaillon/St. Pierre les Becquets region of Quebec. I am trying to find out who his parents were. I have been provided with information from a cousin which indicates that our family tree goes back to Hugues Tousignant and Marie Vallee (Talle) in 1641, but unfortunately i am having difficulty in linking Telesphore to Hugues and I would be appreciative for any help in this regard.

Raymond Laperle

Please check out my family tree at http://www.genebase.com/my/network_family_index.php

I'm not sure if you've ever been on www.genebase.com, if you decide to take a look, you'll see little yellow boxes on the top right corner of every person I have listed. You'll want to click on Donald Tousignant's to be able to view Wilford.

Let me know.
I am searching for any information on Elizabeth LaRoach who married Jederon Tousignant in Shieldsville, Minnesota (Rice County) on or about November 26th, 1895. I would also like information on her family, where and when she was born, her parent's names, etc. I believe she was born on or about September 10th, 1867 (place of birth unknown), and died on or about February 19, 1906, in Faribault (Wells Township), Minnesota.
