Can anyone help me with these St. Johnsbury, Caledonia, Vermont Toussaint families? I am trying to find out if Oliver Toussaint is related to Nelson/Narcisse Toussaint, and if so, through whom? I cannot seem to find parents for Oliver, who is one of my cousin's family members.

Oliver lists Canada French as place of birth, as does Adele. Oliver immigrated to the US in 1877; Adele in 1864 according to the 1910 census.

1. In the 1910, US Census, I find:

Oliver Toussaint, 57; m. Adele Unknown, 47 (St Johnsbury, VT)
w/3 children: Alphonsine Toussaint, 20
Edmore (should be Edmour), 18
and, Dora Odette (adopted dau), 15

2. In the 1900 US Census, I find the same family as in #1:

Otmer Toussaint, 47
Adele D. Toussant, 37
Albert Toussant 17
Edward Toussant, 15
Adele Toussant, 13
Alphonsine Toussant, 11
Edmour Toussant, 1893

3. In the 1880 US Census (familysearch.org), I find:

Nelson Tousaint, 27 (may be Narcisse)
Alice C. Tousaint, 22
Nelson Tousaint, 5
Amo Tousaint, 4
Eugene Tousaint, 2

4. I also find an
Alcide Francis Toussaint who m. Marie Laura Brunelle, b. 25 Jan 1887;
Alcide's father is Narcisse or Nelson Toussaint; mother is Alice Corriveau.
So Nelson, in #3, is the father of Alcide, this #4 entry.
