Looking for my Great Grandad. we believe he died about 15 years ago but we are guessing. His daughter Dorothy Street was born in about 1910 ish but everyone disagrees on that one. her mum was Ameilia Street and she lived at Colly Mill Congleton near North Rode, Buglawton with her twin sister and her brothers and sisters and parents mary and lear Street. one of her sisters worked at Chatsworth house and emigrated to Canada when the owner, the duke of devenshire, left for canada to become 'governer general' or somethng like that . we dont know if there was any connection.
we do know Ian Townsend or Townshend had other children once he settled in Canada and one of them wrote to Dorethy before he died. i think it said he was now blind and the letter had been written for him by his daughter. Dorethy has six kids and my dad is one of them. i am one of 12 grand children and my 4 kids are all his great great grandchildren.
