Hi, read your message, albeit you posted it some time ago. I am a Tracey by birth and understand from my father William (aka Bill) that my grandfather (also William) came from Ireland and settled in Greenock with his father (William) and his mother (Catherine, aka Kathleen) and his siblings. My dad seems to think that they had other relatives spread all over West Coast of Scotland, particularly Glasgow. I can't find any trace of them and don't really know where in Ireland they came from.
