Jessie Tracey Jr., 80, of Zanesville, Ohio died at 1:21 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Genesis Good Samaritan hospital.
He was born July 16, 1928, in Zanesville, Ohio a son of the late Jesse and Violet Thomas Tracey. He was a retired machine operator and a United States Army Korean War Veteran.
Surviving are three sons, Terry L. (Melody) Tracey, Larry E. (Melissa) Tracey and Rickey L. (Cindy) Tracey, all of Zanesville; seven grandchildren, Kelly (Kevin) Mitchell, Tyler (Jennifer) Tracey, Shannon (Trevor) Meek, Curt (Chantel) Tracey, Andrea (Jon) Hummell, Dedra (Ray) Tracey and Eric Tracey and friend Tina; 12 great grandchildren; a sister, Dixie Tracey Wolford of Zanesville; and two brothers, William and Bob Tracey, both of Zanesville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Marjorie E. Rushing Tracey, who died in 1996; three sisters; four brothers; and a grandson, Ricky Lee Tracey Jr.
Friends may call 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Pastor Steve Harrop will be officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Roseville, Ohio. VFW George Selsam Post #1058 will hold full military rites at the graveside.
