In our box of family photos I found an old photograph of a young man in uniform, labeled on the back "Frederick A. Trant, U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD, 1891." I would be happy to share the photo with his descendants, in exchange for clues as to what it was doing with our family pictures. So far, I haven't found the name Trant in my family tree.
