John L Trapp - Jackson County, GA

John L Trapp married Sally Johnson on 28 November 1817 in Jackson County, Georgia. John L Trapp is listed in both the 1820 and l830 U S census for Jackson County, Ga. Can anyone tell me more about this family.

John L. has children that are the right ages to be my "brick wall" ancestor and his brother. William Allen Trapp and John Cummings Trapp (assumed to be brothers) were both married in Lawrence County Arkansas in the early 1840s. According to l850 and later census records, they were both born in Georgia. There are no other Trapps in Lawrence County Arkansas with them in the 1840/50s.

John L does not show up in the l840 Jackson County, GA census. Did he die?? If so - can anyone help me find the names of any of his children (believe there were 3 boys and 3 girls). Was there a will? Are there land records giving childrens names, etc.

I would really like to learn if John L Trapp of Jackson County is the missing parent of my William Allen Trapp of Lawarence County, Arkansas.

wow, a person with information on krautheim germany,can you see my tree, maybe you can help me fill in the gaps, doing this tree for jerome trapp, hes 80 blind and only knows nieces and nepfews, aunts and uncles, he would like to find his family before he dies. bonnie

Could this be one of his brothers? The only information I have found on Daniel Trapp b.1836 married a lady by the name of Jane b.1840. They had nine children, James, Albert, Susannah, Ellen, Amy, Charles, Lucy, Harry and Winifred. I haven't found a link between siblings and parents in Bredon as of yet!

Daniel would have been my Great Great Granddad!

Trapp and Schneider in Baden or Pfalz, Bayern

I am seeking the family of Michael Schneider and Clementina Trapp. Their daughter Catherina Schneider, born 8.8.1833, supposedly in the Rhein-Pfalz or Baden (one source says Bayern, two say Baden). Another daughter, Maria, Schneider, born 8.15.1839.

The name of the town has never been determined. Catherine came to the U.S. circa 1853 and Maria came around 1858, and they moved lived in New York and then moved on to Illinois, where they raised their families.

Catherine married a man from the Rhein-Pfalz and Maria married a man from Alsace. My Schneider/Trapps were Catholic. Would you be familiar with any Catholic Trapp lines from your research?

I have been researching the PETERSON line and Annie PETERSON married Charles DEHN and lived in Enderlin, My husbands grandparents were Ole & Randina (PETERSON) CULBERTSON. Three children were born to this couple (MYRTLE; GERTRUDE & LeROY) all are deceased and I am having some trouble tracing the PETERSON line or the CULBERTSON line. Any information would be welcome. Do you need any info from the WA state area?

Daniel Trapp and Sallie Shedd were my ggrandparents. I do not know very much about Daniel Trapp but Sallie Shedd was a full blooded Cherokee and was on The Trail of Tears.
This was told to my Dad by his Grandmother Anadine Trapp who was their daughter. They both died in Oklahoma.

Saw your post today 9-24-08. Who is your dad? Is his grandmother Clarissa Anadine? I think she was theeir 11th child. I still haven't got all the birthdates of the 11 children straightened out. Daniel & Sallie were my gggrandparents. My mother is Florene Trapp who is the daughter of John Roy Trapp who was the son of James Thomas Trapp (I think he was #5 in the children)who in turn was the son of Daniel and Sallie. I grew up hearing that Daniel was Cherokee. I am aware that others in the family disagree with this. I have been to Sallie’s grave many times and she did not die in Oklahoma if that is what you meant. She died in New Mexico and is buried in the Mitchell Cemetery north of Bellview,Curry CO.,NM. Her headstone reads that she was a full-blood Choctaw & was bn.5-12-1822 & died 1915. I know from talking with family that she died in March. After Daniel died in Oklahoma, she came to N.M. with her son James Thomas Trapp and his oldest son James L. Trapp and the 3 of them filed on land during the Homestead Act in the early 1900's. ANNA ELISABETH TRAPP (maiden name DOERFLER) born Nov. 18th 1921 in Germany, died Sept. 1989 in Livingston, Essex, NJ.

I search for her husband and son (and possible other children). The only other information I have is that in the 1950s they lived in Gibsonia, PA and the (1st) son was already born.

Daniel Trapp was baptised on 11 Oct 1835, the son of James Trapp and Elizabeth born c1807 in Twyning Gloucestershire. His siblings were Hellen bap 20 Nov 1829, John 31 Jul 1831, Ann 25 Aug 1833, Job 15 Dec 1839,Rosannah 21 Mar 1843 and Susannah 6 Jul 1845. His father James Trapp was born 20 Jul 1803 and baptised 14 Aug 1803. His parents were John Trapp baptised 18 Mar 1770 Bredon. His mother's name was Jane born c1781. John's parents were William Trapp and Mary Bayles who were married 9 Oct 1760 in Bredon. I've no dates for their births.

Hello! I am looking to connect with anyone familiar with Roy Albert Trapp married for a time to Betty Williams (maiden). They had two daughters Reva and Alberta. He died August 18, 1992 and was married to Gwen when he died. He was living in Witchita, Kansas. His DOB is 9/24/24.
