Hello there everyone
I have just found this message board and have yet to fully read all your messages with great interest!
My mother Edna TRATTLES(still living) was born in Middlesbrough, Cleveland (Nth Yorkshire at the time-1926), married George SANDERSON (M'bro 1925-1988)
Her father John James TRATTLES (b. Stockton - 1890), married Olive PERCIVAL (b. M'bro 1900)
His father (My great grandfather) John TRATTLES
b. "Steers"/Staithes 1846), married Frederica Sophia BRADLEY (b. Richmond -1857)
This is where my problem begins! - Which John is this - I have done a fair bit of searching, to no avail....any ideas welcome.
I have attempted to compile a database of all TRATTLES from IGI / Census / Parish Records etc....as probably many of you may have done....I now have over 1400 names and will now try and see where you all fit in from your notes.
Look forward to hearing from you all
