James or Mary Anne Treacy, Cashel, Co Tipperary

I recently discovered that I have Treacy ancestry. My great-great grandmother was Mary Anne Treacy, born around 1862 who married James Brien in 1880. Mary Anne's father was James - he had died by the time of her marriage and I do not have his date of birth. Her mother was listed as Honoria but may be Honora. On Mary Anne's marriage record the family was listed as living at Moor, Cashel.
If this rings a bell with anyone I would really welcome it if they could get in touch.

James Treacy /Tracy/Tracey married Mary Fleming/Fleming on 10/05/1876 Upper Tomard in Co Carlow. James born abt 1850 died in 1903 was the son of Patrick Tracy. Mary Fleming was the daughter of Thomas Fleming and his wife Margaret Butler.

I have been researching the names on a memorial in Sheffield Cathedral, England, which remembers the policemen and firemen who fell in the Great War 1914-18

My great-great-grandparents were William Tracey and Sarah Blake. At the time of the Griffiths Valuation (1856 for Galway), they were living in the townland of Lissaniska in the parish of Abbeyknockmoy in eastern County Galway. Their known children were:

Mary (bapt 14 Sep 1823) = Michael Coffey (my G-grandparents)
Bridget (bapt 01 Jul 1826)
John (bapt 22 Feb 1829)
Margaret (bapt 03 May 1832)

Mary and her husband Michael emigrated in 1884 to Boston with their 14 year old daughter Bridget Coffey. Their daughter Mary emigrated to Boston in 1880 and married Geoffrey Murphy (born in Watree, Gowran, Kilkenny) in 1887.

Does any of this Tracey material look familiar to anyone?

My grandparents were Michael & Margaret Treacy who lived in Quincy, MA. Michael emigrated from Ireland in 1890 and Margaret came from upstate NY. They married ca. 1896 and had 10 children:Edward (my father), Anna, Francis, Elizabeth, Margaret, Alice, James,Gertrude, Lawrence and Mary. I believe Michael was from County Cork (born 1868). Is there anyone who traces back to Treacys who might have come from Coolavehy,
Kilbeheny parish in Co. Limerick? Johanna Treacy, born c1797, married Maurice Gallagher of Kilcruaig, Kilflyn civil parish, Limerick. Ellen Treacy, born c1795, sister to Johanna, married Thomas Gallagher, brother to Maurice. Thomas lived in the townland of Houndscourt, Kilflyn civil parish, Limerick. It is probable that the mother of the Treacys was a Noonan from Redchair, which I believe is in the parish of Kildorrery, Cork.

Thomas and Ellen Treacy Gallagher had Michael, Ellen, Catherine, Bartholomew, and John. Maurice and Johannah Treacy Gallagher had Maurice, Johanna, John, Mary Ann (all went to Australia), Bess, Thomas, and Ellen (who stayed in Ireland).

I've now paid the super duper fee for getting to anything on Ancestry and I already knew that these two people had their son Stephen baptised in NY on 8 April 1873. I can find absolutely nothing else about them. I thought the 1880 census would catch up with them but zero luck. Also the Boston passenger lists have no detail to prove anything.
Anybody got suggestions as to how to proceed????

I am looking for information on Patrick Treacy and Mary Harding, his wife, both of Ireland. I am not sure if they came to the USA or not. They had two children that I know of, Mary Treacy (my great grandmother,) and Timothy Harding Treacy, who joined the priesthood. (Both born in the 1850's) Both of the children came to the USA in 1873. First they were in New York, later Iowa. Timothy went on to live his later years in California. He died in 1925.

Born. Ireland Dublin,County Cork Tipperary

He married Marrian Gillea from Sydney NS.
Her mother's name was Mary Morrison

Edmond was in the British Navy.

I do not have years for these people but do know it was either a great grandfather or perhaps grandfather of the person I am looking this up for.

I am trying to track back through Henry Treacy to find out when this branch arrived in the US. I have sketchy notes indicating Henry was born in Clonmel, Ireland in 1871. Henry had brothers John and Tim and a sister Mary Alice. His father was John and his mother was Elizabeth Cassin. Henry had several sons and daughters. One of his sons, Joseph was an Assistant Chief in the Yonkers Fire Department who died on the job in 1962.

I am trying to find information on this family, My Great Grandparent's - Daniel Treacy married Sera/Sara Sweeney in 1873 in the Solloghed Parish,Co Tipp. Daniel listed his residence as Solloghed and he was a Railway Porter, Sera/Sara listed her residence as Doon. I believe they may have had as many as 14 children, Unfortunately I only know of 5 at the moment; Bridget born 1873, William born Jan, 1873, Catherine born Dec,1873, Mary (aka May) born 1889. They also had a son named either Daniel or John who emigrated to Australia I have no dates for him. I know this family lived in the Village of Oola for a while as this is where my Grandmother Catherine was born, She and her sister Mary emigrated to Boston Ma U.S.A.

I have just started researching my Grandmothers family. Unfortunately I don't have to much info on them. My Grandmother was Catherine Mary Treacy born around 1885. She had a sister Mary ( May) they both emigrated to the U.S. They lived in Boston. I am also told they had a brother who emigrated to Australia ( I don't have his name).I don't know if she had more siblings than this. I know she came from the village of Oola in Co Limerick, I was also told her Family ran the railway station.( or near the railroad) BTW My Grandmother met and married Patrick Lonergan in Boston.

Jack - moved to Australia
John - moved to England (sons Max and John )
Mary-Kate Coffey - stayed in Tipperary
Edmund moved to Wales in 1917 and his children were:
Edward (Ted), Peter, David, Mary Kathleen and Patricia)

My great grandfather Henry Geer (Greer) Treacy (b. 6 Nov. 1845) m. Priscilla Ann Ward (b. 4 June, 1854) on 16 Nov. 1870 in Centenary Methodist Church, Ile-de-Montreal, Montreal, Canada. They subsequently emigrated going first to Springfield, MA before settling in Detroit, Michigan. According to the Quebec marriage guide both Henry and Priscilla were born in Montreal. Henry's parents (John Geer Treacy and Ann Hubbard or Hibbard) are listed as born in England and Priscilla's (Joshua and Annie Ward) in Ireland. Does anyone have any connections?

I am trying to trace my ancestry. All I currently know is my grandfather was Carroll A. Treacy, born 11/20/04 in New York. His father was Andrew J. Treacy. That is all I know currently. Can anyone help?

Stephen Traecy born in NY and eventually moved to Ireland. He married Julia Hogan (US, Ireland?)and they had five children; Annie, Sheila, Eileen, Dennis or Denis, and Stephen. Annie (my grandmother) was born 6/17/1898 in Dublin (I think).
