I understand that Crawford Trees is the "founding father" of the Trees family line in Texas. I am trying to trace my roots back to him.

My great-grandfather's name was also Crawford Trees and he was married to Alice Ragland (maybe Mary Alice Ragland); they had nine children: Mary, Maidie, Madeline, Jake, James (Jim), Jay B., Myrtle (Mertel), Mabel Jo, and Melba. Jay B. Trees was my grandfather and my father is the younger of his two sons, Samuel Jay Trees.

Any information anyone could provide on this particular Crawford Trees would be greatly appreciated.
