Could you tell me if James TREES was related to a Earl Carl Trees or a Goldie Pearl TREES. I believe these TREES lived in Hancock Co, IN or somewhere close to there?

My husband's grandmother was Goldie P Conaway (Freund) Trees.

John Trees(Driess) is also in our line, but where you are the decendant of Jacob who went to Indiana, we are from John Trees Jr. who married Nancy Anne Hodges and moved to Clermont county Ohio. My name is Jack Treese and I lived in Hollidaysburg until the age of fourteen.
How much information do you have on the Blair County Treese's?
My ancestors go back to John Trees, 1756-1826.
My greatuncle William Treese was a veteran of the Civil War and is buried in Royer Cemetery, Huston Township, which is about 12 miles southeast of Hollidaysburg.

You mentioned a Myrtle being born to your Trees line. Did they live in the Dallas TX area at one time?

I am looking for the parents of my Myrtle May Trees Harwell. She is bured in Trees cemetery along with J. C. Harwell or husband and a few children.

I may even have photo's of them in my mystery photo's but unidentified.

According to the 'Passenger and Immigration Lists Index' thre were three Trees' who enetered the U.S. in Pennsylvaniia (I would assume Philly) Jacob in 1754, Johan (or John?) in 1738 and Simon in 1754. Unfortunatley their ages are not listed. This does prove to be a quandry for me. The Shelby Co. Indiana 'yearbook, lists Jacob as being one of its founding fathers, yet his son, David (Davis) was not born until 1832. The gap seems impossible. Is Davis the son of the original Jacob?...or is he a grandson?
If so...was the son of the original Jacob also named Jacob? Or was ther a son named John in between? Any info would be appreciated. The fact that the family seemed to adopt different spelling of their name does not help. I cannot find any record of Simon Trees beyond his entry to PA!

I made a phone call or two to Anna, Illinois
in 1997, and found that there are both Kimmel
and Trees still living there. I spoke with a
Mr. Trees in Wolfe City, IL (min. distance
from Anna). I have also heard that the Trees
name could have been changed upon coming to
America. This info. is sketchy - perhaps from
Wetzel. I am trying to obtain info. on the
German name "Tresch". This seems to be
closer to our derivation. If you have any
additional info. you could share, please pass
it on.

I assume that the A is for Annette. I have been contact with Debbie who indicated you have done much to establish the treck of the Trees across America.

She indicated you have a lot of information of the 'early folks'. I would appreciate anything you have concerning the Trees of Southern Illinos.

I do know that back in the 1800s there was a move of several Trees to TX. However disease hit them in TN and half of them returned to Southern Ill with the others going on to TX.

I have information regarding Royal Nepolian Trees (my father). His father was David Caleb Trees who married Parzetta J. VanZant in Jonesboro in 1875. I also have info regarding the Trees in Idaho.

Well, there don't seem to be too many of us, thus a link must be somewhere! My 'branch' (it is so hard not to make puns when searching your family tree with a name like TREES!) originates from Pennsylvania and then on to Shelby Co. Indiana. I am also attempting to tie things together - I have many names and locations...but would like to try and trace back to Europe, where I now live, so I might track from this end. I can offer some names which may, or may not, link to your search.

This part of the family came to Penn. from Germany?? Dries and Driees are two other surnames which may be a link, not to mention Treece. John Trees, father of Marjorie Trees also comes up in my search, but I have yet to solidify the link.

Thomas Robertson Trees was his name. He was born in Tie Siding, Wyoming November 25, 1888. He had two sons Robert William Trees (my father) and Thomas Bradley Trees. He also had four daughters Adeline,Doris,Nellie and Gladyce. He was married to Nancy Tuny West. He also had a brother named Luke. I am trying to find out who his parents were?

I descend from another branch but am trying to piece together my Harwell line solidly. I descend from Oscar Harwell (my great grandfather). Julia Harwell Trees was his sister.

Robert Edward Lee Trees, TX

I am seeking to find descendant's and information on the following. It looks like the direct line of Trees in this area have long since past away. However, there daughter's may still have someone living.

I have a Robert Edward Lee Trees whom died in 1948. He is buried at the Trees Cemetery along with his wife and parent in laws. He married his great niece, Julia E. Harwell, March 23, 1898, Dallas County, TX.

They had three children:
1. Lennah Joyce Trees 1889-1987 married Clifford Tunes
2. Vivian Trees 1900-1929 whom married two times (1) Roy H. Pogue (2) Lewis McElroy
3. Merrit Trees 1902-1995 whom married unknown.

I have several unknown photo's that might be of Merrit and family or the girls and family.
I also would like to know more about the families of the above. I have a few more dates if needed.

This is my relative. My father was Clancy Trees, his father was Andrew Trees, his father was Jacob Trees, and his father was yourr John Trees. I am a physician, and am 76 years of age, a son named Jr., and his sons are Benjamin and Andrew.
I live in San Diego, CA. I have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.
I was born in Greenfield, Indiana.

My John Trees is in Ohio by 1800. Came from Pennsylvania and also fought in revolutionary war. Some of the family relocated to Indiana. There is another John Trees who died in Penn. and also fought in Rev. War. Much confusion over the two. I have wills, census etc, Bibles to verify our ancestors. Our John Trees was a sucessful farmer in Ohio by 1800. His wife's name was Hannah.

Hello Pauline, yes I would think you are related...as best as I can tell...the TREES/TREESE/TREECE/TREASE/DRIESS...are all connected...the names keeps changing, even within one family unit...All indications show the roots for all branches are in PA...some then head into Ohio...while other head to KY, NC, TN, MO...they seem to head in many directions!! We are trying to unravel many of the twigs...so WELCOME!! Check the message boards and the Forums for the various spellings listed above...I think you will find a wealth of data on the Ohio branch!! Robert E. Lee Trees, b.1870, d. 1948 was a son of Crawford and Anna Minerva (Kimmel) Trees.

I descend thru a different son, David Trees, b. 1854, d. 1929.

Anything new on the Trees from PA?
I just got back fron PA yesterday and have found nothing new on John Trees, Rev. War soldier who is buried somewhere in Blair County. He was my first known ancestor. There are many Trees and Treese burial sites in Blair County, but none for old John and his wife Barbara. My John, bless his soul, never left PA. I seem to be the only person searching for old John.
