When Zacharai Smith* returned to his home in the
West bottoms in Kansas City, Kas., yesterday afternoon,
he found his wife ill in bed. After a few angry words, he
took her in his arms and threw her through a window. The
glass was smashed and the woman was cut in several places.

Police Judge TREMBLY fined Smith* $100 this morning.
