Hi, all~
A descendant of William and Wealthy (Beaman) Trent has joined our project! His kit is at the lab; results are due back by the end of August.
A test made by a descendant of Nicholas and Rachel (Jared) Trent is being refined to 67 markers. Results are also due back by the end of August.
The test made by a descendant of Henry and Nancy (Reynolds) Trent is being refined to 37 markers; results are due back by mid-August.
Results are back on a 37 marker test made by a descendant of Elijah and Sarah (Ratekin) Trent of Campbell Co., VA, through their son, John. His test showed a genetic distance of 1 from the test made by a descendant of William and Charity (Burton) Trent. This indicates a high probability of relatedness and is consistent with our belief that Elijah and William were probably brothers.
Results are back on a 12 marker test made by a descendant of Alexander and Frances (McTaggart) Trent. They showed a genetic distance of 1 from the 12 marker tests made by most of our Group 1 Trents. Further refinement to a greater number of markers will be necessary to determine any genetic relationship.
Results are back on a 37 marker test made by a descendant of Bryant William and Sarah (Galloway) Trent. There was an exact match with a descendant of Frederick and Agnes (Horton) Trent, indicating a 93% probability that these testers shared a common Trent ancestor within the last six generations.
Thanks to all who have tested and who have helped to find participants~
