Leonard Trester was my great-grandfather, Leonard Steele Trester, his son, was my grandfather (Madison, VA), and Leonard Bliss Trester, my father (Burke, VA). I reside in Fairfax, VA.

Margaret T. Kelly of Springfield, Illinois, passed away on July 2, 2008. She was 100 years of age. She was born on January 1, 1908, Sheboygan, Wisconsin to Hubert and (Mary) Marie Burkhart Trester. During her life she was a writer, artist and a newspaper columnist for many years. She was a member of Saint Luke Catholic Church, Meridian Hills Country Club, in Indianapolis, IN, St. Agnes Church in Springfield, Illinois, and was a volunteer at St. Augustine's Home for the Aging in Indianapolis, Indiana. She is survived by daughter, Kathie Brezette of Fort Wayne, IN; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Eugene "Pat" M. Kelly; son, Eugene M. Kelly Jr. and 10 siblings.

Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Broad Ripple is handling arrangements.

(Anna) Trester from Germany who married George John Bishoff/Bischoff abt 1856. children: Mary, Nicholas Peter, John Francis, George Andrew, Joseph H., Maggie, Frank J., Cecelia Barbara, Julia Catherine and Annie M. Bishoff. They lived in MD and NJ, moved to FL.

From reading the messages I am getting the idea that this Hans Martin Treaster is related to John Treaster who was married to Susanna ?. There daughter is Catherine Margeret. She married James Alfred Fitzgerald. Are they related. If yes, how does the line go. Roxanna

I think we have the same Trester family.
My wife's 6th great-grandfather was Hans Martin Trester (Treaster) born 1716 Germany, died 1782 PA, married to Maria Catrina Hunrof?

Hi there .... I have TONS of info on Hans ... here's some of what I have

Came here in 1734
Passenger aboard the St. Andrew, the Captain was John Stedman
British Ship
From Rotterdam, Holland on May 14th 1734, landed in Plymouth, then sailed to Philadelphia, arriving Sept 22, 1734
He had typhoid fever according to a journal kept by a fellow passenger. Ships list states he is above 16 yrs old and ill

on 7-31-1750 he pourchased a tract of 148 acres partly in Bethel and partly in Tulpenharhen Townships 15-20 miles west and slightly north of Reading, PA

Trester was spelles Treaster and he dropped the Hans

born 1716- died 1782

Hans Martin built Trester Hill in Rising Sun IN. Has family vemetery there

His brother Frederick was on the same boat as he was

Jon Martin
Jon Michael
Ann margaret

Sorry this is so jumbled .... have just started this project .... But that is most of what I have. I have a TON of letters from long ago from my great aunt to another researcher that has many more bits of info, including tidbits and such ....

Hans Martin Trester may have arrived in the colonies (later to become the USA) on 12 Sep 1734, along with his brother Frederick, on the ship St. Andrew. I have his wife listed as Maria Catrina Hunrof, born about 1722, in Germany.

I did research on the Trester Family name and I have a little infor for Anna- Anna Marie Trester born Jan. 22 1877 died Oct. 31 1943 age 66. Married in Sheboygan on May 15, 1901 to Micheal Reinl They had 5 children. I don't know much about Micheal othe than he was born 1877. Anna was the daughter of Nicholas and Anna, who had 7 children. I think I can help with your dates your looking for: Hurbert Franz Trester Born May 4 1855 Died Jan. 22 1892 at age 37 buried Holy Trinity cemetary in Milw. Elizabeth Heuel born July 8 1858 died April 24 1890 age 32. Hubert had 1 sister Marie Anna would you have any knowledge of her? Does anyone know anything about Hans Martin Trester? It is believed that he was born around 1718 either in Germany or Ireland and died in Northumberland, PA. in 1782. He had a wife named Catherine. I'm looking for descendants of Leonard Trester (1895) and Mary A. Steele (1898) who lived in Omaha, NE at least in the 1920s and 1930s. They had a son, Leonard and a daughter Patricia that I know of.

Jamima was my ggrandmother. I am trying to get info on her family and that of William H. H. Massey. I can't seem to get behind him. I did manage alittle on her but not much. THe only thing I find on him was he was born in Tenn. and a brother moved to Indiana about the same time he did. I don't know if thes is right or not as I can't seem to find much. I am still looking.

Clyde, I am in touch with Oscar's daughter. She too is looking for information. She said most of the Trester family died when she was young. Anything we find out she would like to know too. Still looking and trying. Oscar is the son of William and Jamima. He died in an accident building the tunnel from Detroit to Canada.
