I am doing research on my ancestor, Levi Trewhitt (c1665-1725)who came from England to the North Carolina,USA coast just before 1700. From about 1696 to 1710, he was the Clerk of Court of Bath County, NC. He was an interesting fellow in that he was a farmer, Court Clerk, and sailor of his own boat the "Pamticoe Adventure." I have considerable more information about his activities and descendants here in the US and almost none about his England origins.

I can not determine exactly when or how he first entered the Carolina Colony of North Carolina. I would very much like to connect with another researcher, Trewhitt or otherwise, who could help me trace his family origins in England. I am more interested in someone with a genuine family interest rather than a professional researcher although I will not completely rule that out.

Please contact me if you would be willing to assist in this family project that will hopefully provide mutual benefit to each of us. Associated expenses would certainly be reimbursed.

Thank you in advance for your interest.
