I have found where Ray Durwood Furnald crossed the Canadian border in 1939. It says his wife was Alvina, daughters, Loleta and Lavern Annie Furnald. The writing is very blurry, so I am guessing on these spellings. My question is, What is the correct spelling for Harper and Molly's daughter? Did Molly remarry to a Shaw? I am assuming that you are one of the two daughters. I would really like to correct any information in my files. Would you mind emailing me privately at txfischers@aol.com ?

I have he was born May 1879 in Kansas. (most likely Marshall County,Kansas. His father was Thomas Solomon George Washington Greeley TROSPER, born April 1847 in Knox Forks, KY and TSGWG Trosper died October 17, 1927 in Paradise, Montana. TSGWG is buried at Paradise Cemeteryn, Sanders County, Montana with his second wife, Amanda Melvina McCullough Covert.
Harper's mother was TSGWG's first wife, Sarah Margaret Logan. Sarah was born February 20, 1852 in Knox County, Kentucky to Barton Logan and his wife Mary.
Sarah and TSGWG were married June 26, 1869 in Marshall County, Kansas. I have 8 children for her. She died from complications of childbirth in 1886.
I have Harper and Molly's daughter was Veria born about November 1909 in Montana. Harper worked as a conductor. He and Molly started divorce proceedings in 1911. I don't have a death date for him or Molly. Harper's niece, Mae Lucille Trosper Roullier had written to a cousin that Harper was found dead in a bathtub, but I don't know when this happened.
I have Veria Trosper married Ray Durwood Furnald and she had two daughters.
You should be able to find alot on TSGWG Trosper.
Are you related to Harper or to Molly? Do you know if Molly remarried or when she died?

I am looking for the any information on Harper P. Trosper, born Kansas abt 1880, father born Kentucky, mother in Missouri. Married Mollie Blossom had one daughter born in Helena, Montana about 1909. Myrtle Josephine Trosper was born about 1922 in Nebraska to Leonard Van Buren TROSPER and Myrtle FrybergerTrosper.(Her mother was first md to a VEACH). The family was in District 7, Falls City, Richardson County, NE in 1930 and are indexed under Grosper instead of Trosper. Marie Elaine Horn's Hidago County, TX birth certificate has Myrtle Josephine Trosper as her mother and William Bennett Horn as her father. Do you know who Marie Elaine Horn married? There are two children on TX births whose mother's name was Marie Elaine Horn, Carol Lynn Grey (b. 1966) and a Jessica Jean Truesdale b. 1985, both born in Travis County, Texas. The father's names are also on line, but I don't know if this is the same Marie Elaine Horn.

I've just found your inquiry from 1999 about Phebe Trosper who married Elijah Foley in 1836. Did you ever get a response? I have her as a daughter of John and Anna (Woolsey) Trosper. Did she move back to VA? I have the family mostly in Knox County, KY at that time.
I'm also descended from John and Anna, through their youngest dayghter Rachel, married Joseph Shaw.

Edith T. Trosper m. Morris Cole (George9, William8, Nathan7, Nathan6, William5, John4, John3, Hugh2, James1). Edith parents were James W. [probably Wendell] Trosper and Estella Adkins, both b. KY. On the 1930 census, James, age 55, is living in Seattle with a new wife, Lolita, age 26--they were married 1 year--and James' son Wendell.

James W. Trosper and Estella Adkins are listed as the parents of Edith’s brother James Wendell Trosper [on 1920 census] in Washington State Birth Index 1907–1919, online at Ancestry.com.

Morris Cole was the son of George Washington Cole and Mary Davidson.

Morris and Edith had at least 3 children, listed on the 1930 census in Tekoa, Whitman Co., WA: James, Ruth, and Shirley.

Shirley, this has nothing to do with Emory Trosper, however, this appears to be the most current e-mail address for you. I ran across a very old message that you posted on GenForum back in 1999 which mentions our great great grandfather, Michael Cable. Our Michael Cable b. Oct 13, 1816, migrated from Somerset Co. PA to Ripley Co. IN to Randolph Co. MO and appears to be a brother to your Joseph. My cousin, Brenda (Cable) Callaghan and I have done extensive work on our Cable family, however, like you, we've not been able to take them further than Somerset Co. PA. I'm not sure this is still a working e-mail address for you so I'll hold up on writing a lengthy novel about our searches until we hear from you. Have you ever found any information on John' father, William Trosper? I only have he was born about 1878 in KY and md. Alice Rosa Begley who was born Feb. 26, 1887 and died Jan. 17, 1915. She is buried in the Todd Goodin Cemetery in Bell County, KY. Did William remarry or what happened to him after the 1910 census? Who were his parents? I can't find William on the 1880 census.

Where was John in 1920? His siblings were with with their mother's sister. What happend to his sibling , Angie?
Anyone with any information on this family could help me solve a great mystery. Thanks

I now have answers to most of my questions. Just thought I would update some new information . Generation number 7, Telitha Catherine CAIN was married to Peter Trosper. Both are buried in Frankfort Cemetery in Frankfort, Kansas.

John and Mahala are buried in Morland Cemetery, Morlan, Kansas.

I would still like to find where Anna Woolsey Trosper is buried. I have she died in 1851 in Marshall, Kansas. I would like to confirm this.

Fred Spearman was born December 3, 1914 in Britton, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma and died May 23, 2000 in Guthrie, Logan County, OK.

My line also goes back to a Nicholas Trosper. He was in the Rev. War. He had a son named Robert and Robert had a daughter named Rebecca who married a James Mahan Jr.
Rebecca and James Mahan had a daughter Nancy who married Jacob Anderson......all in or around Whitley County, Kentucky. Do you have any info on this line?

I am looking for a connect between my great great grandfather, John Trosper, and the trosper line. I have him living in MS in 1870 saying he is born in MO. I have a John Trosper in either the 1850 or 1860 TN census. He is the son of Robert Trosper. They show up in Gibson, TN. The birth year matches my grandfather.
