Garfield PACK, father of Hazel PACK (1910-1943), was born 8 April 1871 in Johnson County, KY, the son of Charles PACK (1832-1900) of WV and Lavina CHANDLER of KY. Garfield died 10 July 1913 in Cattletsburg, Boyd, KY.

I am researching the relatives of John William Trout who married Sophronia Daisy McKimmy on 7 Dec 1892.

Their daughter, Ida Marie Trout, is the great grandmother of my husband. Her daughter Virginia Ruth Howell married Harry Richard Sines. Their daughter Diana is my mother in law.

John William is the son of William "Billy" Henry Trout and Rebecca Jane Moore. I have the death certificate for Billy Trout (where he is listed as Henry) and it states his death in 1919 at the County Home in Kingwood from a brain hemorrhage.

I have found that Billy's parents are John Trout and Elizabeth Madery, but I have no other information. Anyone have a connection?

Hi my name is Dennis Trout, My father was A.J. Trout, one of five sons of Lloyd Thomas Trout and Hazel Pack. Hazel was born 1910 in Ashland Ky died in 1943. She was buried in Stone Ky. Hazel's parents were Garfield & Julia Pack. Julia Thompson was born 1871 in Ky. Died 14 Dec 1960 in Ashland. I remember was a little boy dad and I would take the train from William W.V. to see her. By then she had remarried and Her last name was Rice. She had seven kids. Leonard B Pack-1894, Herbert Pack-1897, Leslie H Pack-1898, Ollie Pack-1900,Maltie Pack-1902, Laura Pack-1907 and Hazel Pack-1910

Hannah is my husband's Great Grandmother by David Trout. The only thing I know about her first husband is his name was Samuel Baird and they got married Feb. 11, 1847. Hannah's parents were Edmund and Susan Miller Rockhold. Hannah and David had 10 children. I have a picture of Hannah and I have one of Ruth Ella and her husband Clay Shelly. Sorry I am not more help.

Did Ure Clarence Trout have a sister named Mary E Trout,Minnie J Trout, Orville J, Aurthur Ambrose, Elvesta J Trout? Was His Mother Elizabeth Jane Compton Trout? Father Abraham James Trout? Was Clarence Ivan Trout born in 1891 and passed away in 1944? Abraham James Trout was my GGrandfather and Nancy Jane Sing Trout were my GGrandparents. I have found numerous references to Hannah Hester Rockhold, and to her husband David Trout and to their children. Hannah was my mother's great-grandmother; my mother remembers visiting Hannah's daughter, Ruth Ella. A Darren Rockhold sent me (electronically) a copy of a picture of Hannah.

It appears that Hannah was married to a man with the surname Beard before she married David Trout and they had a child, Cornelius Edmund Beard. Cornelius was my mother's grandfather. It appears he later changed the spelling of his last name to Baird. Darren Rockhold said Cornelius's father was Samuel Beard.

I'd like to locate more information about Cornelius's father, whose name I am assuming was Samuel Beard. Do you have any hints or clues for me? Anything you think I can share with you?

Frolic, Trout displayed gallant conduct in endeavoring to save the life of one of the crew of that vessel who had fallen overboard at Montevideo, 20 April 1877.

Burial location of this recipient is unknown.

Do not believe the surnames that you have listed are related to William Harry Trout and Margaret Alice Isett.
Margaret Alice Isett is the daughter of Henry Isett and Mary Ann Diehm.

I have checked the Dawes Cherokee Rolls and there are 24 Trouts listed. None are the names you have in your message. All are from Big Cabin and Spavinaw, Oklahoma. Is there any connection at all with your family to these two towns?

I have scanned photographs of Ida M. (Trout) May of WV and 5 of her children.

Also a photograph of Ida's parents John William Trout and Sophronia Daisy (McKimmy) Trout.

Also a photograph of John William Trout's parents William and Jane Trout.

I do not have the years for these pictures, but the one of William and Jane they look to be quite aged. In the one of John and Sophronia they appear to be in their 40s (I'm guessing) and in the one of Ida she appears to be late 30s. The picture of Ida's children- the only name I know is her oldest daughter Virginia Ruth (Howell) Sines, who was born abt 1914. She looks to be about 10-12 in the photo (still guessing).

If this is your line, please let me know and I'll send the scans along. I am interested in as much information on this line as possible.

Tricia. Thanks for replying. I have a death cert. for Philip T. Shannon DOD 1-6-1983. Phila., Pa. His surviving spouse was Josephine Walls. His father's name was Bernard Shannon. Mother's maiden name was Lillian G Hunter. I took a shot in the dark because nowadays, families are scattered all over the place. Also, the only info I have on Mary Trout is she knew my sister. I want to say she married a Shannon, or married a trout. Not positive on that.

Paulette. I have a Mary Trout in my family. I am not exactly sure how she fits in. I think she was a Shannon? married a Trout? She had 2 brothers, Philip & Thomas & a sister they called Nellie. (Back then they named everyone after everybody and their brother.

Do the surnames Shannon, McNulty, & Schmidt ring any bells?

William and Mary Trout - Bradford, PA

I am looking for information on William Trout, born Penn in about 1816. Married to a MARY born in about 1816. per 1840 & 1850 census they lived in Bradford, PA. They have three children: Martha born 1838, Miles born 1841 and Elizabeth born 1843. Miles Trout eventually moved to Elmira NY and married Ardelia Gunn.

If anyone has any information on this family I would love to hear from them.

Miss Jennie Trout, sister of G. W. Trout, died at the asylum Sunday. She had been a patient there for about one month. her remains were buried int he city cemetery.

I show the same Rachel Trout in my database being born 11/18/1796, but in Lincoln County, NC, and marrying Isaac Day on 8/11/1814 in Clermont County, OH. She has a brother William Trout born in 1781, and a sister Nelly Trout born in 1790. However, I had understood the father of Rachel to be Henry Trout born 1753 the son of Hans Nicholas Traut, son of Johann Wendel Georg Traut.

I am very interested in learning your source that indicated her father is Jacob, and also the names of the other siblings, and look forward to exchanging information with you.

I believe I can help you a great deal. Your William A. TROUT (middle name probably Andrew) was born 1 Jun 1844 in Feesburg, Lewis Twp, Brown, OH, and died 8 Jun 1925 in Hancock County, IL. His wife was Margaret A. STILES, daughter of Luther STILES and 1st wife Susan BAYSINGER. Your William was the son of Andrew TROUT and Elizabeth BACCUS. His son, your grandfather, would have been Charles TROUT b. 3 Jun 1880 and wife Sigma, is that correct? Charles’ siblings included Allen, Clarence and Ina.
