George Conrad Trumbo b. abt 1755 married a Mary Neff b. 1756, dau of Henry Neff and Hannah aka Johanna Steger. Family lived near Westminister in Baltimore Co., MD which later became Carroll County, MD. Known children are George Trumbo, Mary, who married an Abraham Lammott, Elizabeth who married a Jacob Grove, and Hannah who married a John Louis Wampler. The children are listed in documents found in the Sept. 1841 Term of the Baltimore Co., MD Chancery Court.
I recently aquired a Trumbo Genealogy by a Conrad W. Feltner, published in hard cover in 1974. The book, 541 pages, is devoted to the Trumbo families of Hardy Co., VA (WV) and Page and Frederick Counties of VA,KY and Washington Co., PA and their descendents. The only possible
reference to Trumbos of interest to me is the family of an Andrew Trumbo Jr. whose wife was Luise. Children listed were Sophia b. June 1746, John b. abt. 1748, Jacob b. abt 1756, Andrew III b. 30 Dec 1756, George b. abt 1756/58, which could possibly be the George Conrad Trumbo found in Baltimore Co., MD though not proven, Henry b. abt 1758 and a Catherine married to a Jacob Mack of Bucks Co., PA in 1768. The Neff of Carroll Co., MD were members of the Swiss\German Reformed faith and parents were immigrants from the Zurich area of Switzerland.
Would appreciate hearing from folks researching the early Trumbo family of Baltimore (Carroll) counties in MD.
