JOHN ROSSON TRUNKS was my great-grandfather on my mother's side. He and NANCY F. (BEANBLOSSOM) TRUNKS raised my mom after her parents died. They lived in Mt. Carmel, Wabash County, IL,
John's father, MADISON TRUNKS and John's brother, EDWIN C. TRUNKS (killed in the Civil War) are listed on the 1850 IL census.
Madison's wife "Gmzy" (Emma) is buried in Mt. Carmel and lists MADISON as her husband. Madison remarried within the year of Emma's death. Emma's maiden name was ROSSON.
John also had a sister, ELLA.
Any help in finding Madison's parents and ancesters would be appreciated.
