I would like to know the correct dates of birth and death for William Trusty and Anna Robbins, as it doesn't seem possible that William's death could be 1784 and Anna's birth could be the same (1784). Also doies anyone have any more info on Nancy J Trusy. It states she was 27 Nov 1857 in Morgan, Kentucky. My great grandmother is a Nancy Trusty, but I have her birth as Sep 1857 in Salyersville, Magoffin County, Kentucky. In this William Trusty family tree they have Nancy marrying a J.C. Williams 20 Jul 1875 in Magoffin County, Kentucky and a marriage to an UNK Hale (I beleive this to be my great grandfather - John Hale (born 1853-1855 in Perry County, Kentucky)). It shows the birth of two children: Children of NANCY TRUSTY and UNK HALE are: i. LEARAH HALE, b. 1876, Magoffin County, KY.
ii. EDNA HALE, b. 1879, Magoffin County, KY.
I'm not sure these are the children of Nancy J. Trusty and John Hale, as the census record for 1900 in Magoffin County, KY shows children of John Hale and Nancy Trust be have all been born in the 1800's. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My husband's gg-grandmother was also Marth Jane (Trusty) Beerbower. From my research, Sarah Trusty Graves had three sisters:
1) Elizabeth N (aka M. E. or Mary) Trusty: b. 1847-1848 in Illinois.
2) Mary Ann Trusty: b. 06 Jun 1849 in Williamson Co, IL; married James William Petty on 06 Sep 1868 in Fort Scott, Bourbon, KS; d. 11 Jan 1924 in McDonald Co, MO.
3) Martha Jane (aka Mattie) Trusty: b. 30 Nov 1852 in IL; married Richard Roy Beerbower on 30 Dec 1870 in Neosho, Newton, MO; d. 03 Oct 1939 in Fort Scott, Bourbon, KS.

She also had one half and one full brother:

I found Josiah and Henry (at least I think I found them), in an 1840 census of Wilson Co., TN living with their mother Alcy Trusty. Alcy (or Alice) was the head of household, no husband and she had three young boys all under 15 yrs. old. I don't know as yet who the other child was. I also have (on my Ancestry family tree) the 1850 census in Williamson Co., Illinois with Alcy again head of household with only Josiah and Henry living with her. After this I have no idea what happened to Alcy nor Henry. I am sure I have found that Josiah married an Elizabeth Robinson in 1858, then again we see his family in 1860 and 1865 in Kansas.
This William Trusty (Josiahs father) is a mystery to me so far. I can pull up a marriage record for him when he married Alcy Mitchell on Valentines Day in 1826. I suspect that William might of married before or after Alcy, I'm not sure. Do you know of this William Trusty? Alcy's neighbors in Illinois give a clue since they were also Trusty's, with at least one of Alcy's brothers living nearby also. Do you know what happened to their father? Do you think those Orphans were my Josiah and Henry?

I have found a Josiah and William Henry Trusty in TN in 1844 that were orphans of William Trusty. Both of these boys were left in an "orphan house" by their mother, name not given, They were being used as carpenters for a Master Elam Edge on Sept. 7 1846 their mother had them released from the program.
I have spoken with you before regarding Mary Jane Trusty but lost your email address. Could this be Josiah and Henry Trusty?

Becky, just saw your 2003 post about Wiley Trusty. I am doing a book about cemeteries in Catron Co., NM.
In Quemado, NM cemetery, there is a James W. Trusty 1913-1980 that I found a little info on. He married Alta Loretta Hancock in Mesa, AZ and they had two female children. Next to his grave is a Wilbur Wiley Trusty, but no stone, only the metal marker. Then next to him is a grave (I'm assuming) with a wooden cross with "Trusty" on it. Can you tell me ANYTHING about ANY of these. Would appreciate any info.

Dana, Thanks so much for your reply to my query. I had found James W. on the ancestry.com and got some info on him, and I think I had gotten some info from someone, maybe it was Becky. I have date on James of March 6, 1913--March 30, 1971, is that correct?
But my bigger question was about Wilbur Wiley Trusty. It is a grave next to James W., with only the little metal marker, but has no dates or any info on it. Then another grave (I assume) with a wooden cross with "Trusty" on it, tho it may have been meant to be on the Wilbur grave.
I published my book in Dec, 2006, but I am still trying to update with info about these other two graves. Can you tell me anything about them? I will send you a copy of what is in my book on James W. Frank O.Trusty was born on June 1,1900,in Magoffin County and passed away in his sleep on February 20,1981,in the Nim Henson Geriatric Center in Jackson.
He was married to Irene Phipps and they had three children:William,Constance,and Frank O.Trusty,Jr.
He started his career as a linotypist when only eight or nine years old,eventually working in the U.S.Government Printing Office in Washington,D.C.,before settling in Jackson and bringing his considerable skills to the Jackson Times.He worked for this publication about 40 years.
Quiet,unassuming,Frank was a gentle person that related easily but strongly to many persons in the Jackson Community.One member of the Board of the Jackson Christian Church said ,"Frank was my best friend."
The nature and stature of this man can perhaps be best seen in the fact that few persons knew he was decorated for meritorious service to his country during World War 1.
His editor penned these lines in an eulogy to Frank O.Trusty:"Besides his work,he loved his family,his friends.his church,fishing and sports,particularly the Cincinnati Reds baseball team.An avid reader,he devoured the printed word and anytime he was by himself would ever be found with a magazine,book,or newspaper in hand.He was never alone."
Frank O.Trusty taught a Sunday School Class in the Jackson Christian Church and monetary gifts were rendered in a memorial to him.

James was second in a family of 7 who settled in Tillamook, Oregon. Only my Aunt Jean and my father, David are still alive - both still living in Tillamook.
