Lloyd William Tschacher
Funeral services for Lloyd William Tschacher, age 73, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 1990, in the Peet Mortuary Chapel in Lusk with Rev. Patrick Shea of St. Leo's Catholic Church officiating. Burial was in the Dell View Cemetery in Manville.
Tschacher died Thursday morning, July 12, at his home in Manville following a long illness. He was born Nov. 21, 1916, at Hemingford, Neb., the son of Michael and Emma Annen Tschacher. The family moved to Wyoming in 1930. He attended schools in Hemingford and Manville.
He worked on area ranches and drove a truck for the Manville Crude Oil Company, before owning his own trucking business. He was a WWII veteran, having served with the 400th Coast Artillery Battalion. He farmed, ranched and drove a school bus for many years. He served on the Manville Town Council, and as Niobrara County Deputy County Assessor.
Tschacher enjoyed hunting and fishing. He married Louise Ferris Weaver on Dec. 22, 1953.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Survivors include his wife Mary of Manville; two sisters, Laura Burke of Douglas, and Adelyn Johnson of Manville; one brother, Edwin of Manville; a step-daughter, Raelena Stull of Shawnee; four step-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
