In 1842, Peter Tully married the widow Bridget O'Rafferty Garvey at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Navan, County Meath, Ireland.
On September,1842 Peter, Bridget and her two daughters, Catherine, 8 years old, and Teresa, 4 years old, set sail from Dublin to Liverpool, England to New York, USA aboard the ship "Claiborne".
Upon their arrival in the Port of New York, they left for the Territory of Wisconsin and made their home in Racine-Southport (now Kenosha) and increased their family by having three (3) sons.
