I am transcribing the Evergreen Cemetary in Ontario, Malheur Co., Oregon and thought I would post pictures of the Pre-1900 headstones for those interested in having them. This is a very large cemetary, there is a possibility there could be other family members buried here after this time period. If you are interested in them, I can look for them specifically.

In 1883 or 1884 she married my G-Grandfather, Christopher Columbus "Lum" Tedford, born 16 Dec 1855 in Hooverville, Burnet Co., Texas and died 22 Oct 1928 in Clarence, Shelby Co., Missouri. Christopher Columbus "Lum" Tedford was the son of DeMelville Tedford and Martha Ann Cox Tedford. As far as I can tell, Fannie Turnbow Tedford's Father was "ISAAC TURNBOW" and her Mother was 'AMANDA ELIZABETH UNKNOWN". If you have any information on Hanna, wife of Lum Tedford, please contact me.

I am looking for information on my husband's great grandmother Mae Turnbow. She was married to George Hicks. I know that she had a twin brother named Faye. She lived in Arkansas. I know that she was 26 years old when she passed and is buried in Russellville, Arkansas. She had 2 children by the names of Corean Faye Hicks Nebling, and Johnnie Louise Hicks Horn. We believe that she was a Full blood Cherokee, but unsure. If you have any information please contact me.

Hi, Ken, my name is Carol Miller, and I believe we are related. My grandmother was Lucille Turnbow, daughter of George Washington Turnbow and Pearl Nicholson of Brookhaven, Mississippi.

I’ve recently begun doing genealogical research and was delighted to find all of the information that you have posted on Ancestry.com. I gather that your mom is the person I heard about during the 1970’s who published a history of the Turnbow family and that you have carried on her work. Unfortunately, I’ve not been able to find any relatives who bought a copy of the book. Is it still available? What type of information is contained in it? I’m especially interested in knowing the sources of the information contained in the family tree.

I tried to email you directly at Kenstone@sprintmail.com, but my message was returned as undeliverable.

Thank you!

I am trying to find Bobby Wayne, Michael Eugene and Jimmy Keith. I believe they used to go by the last name of Boswell. I was recently told that they were adopted by their grandparents, Polly and Jimmy Turnbow. Their father was my uncle and I would very much like to meet them.
