Surnames: Turnbull, Stewart, Middleton
Hi I have a supposed ancestor- a David Turnbull, buried at Jesmond cemetery, near Newcastle. His mother Isabella Stewart Turnbull is buried there too. What I can't figure is he is suposed to be the father of my greart great grandfather, who was a Stewart, and his mother was possibly a Stewart 2nd cousin as well- there's still a lot of unravelling to do.
I also have a marriage cert of David White Ridley Turnbull, marrying Frances Middleton in the mid 1800s. I can't figure if they're relatives or not, as we had a Frances Middleton at that time , but not the DWR Turnbull, and I can't see a Turnbull calling his son a Stewart.
