Hi Alex,

My GGM was Nellie Tyrell (aka Nellie Jennings). She married Curiso (aka Keuli or Curagon) Yandall.
Hi Brenda,

i just saw your post after i posted the reply to Kevin. i was not aware that my great-grandmother had been married before she married my great-grandfather ( they married in 1881 when she was 20 or 21 yrs old and had seven living children by 1900 ), but i don't know very much going this far back.

the Ince side of the family is from Lafayette, Tippecanoe, Co., Indiana. this could very well be the same Ella. other than Ella's children, and that her parents are listed as from Ireland on the 1900 US census, i do not have any more info for you.

any info you can forward to me would be greatly appreciated. my email address is: bearkitten@comcast.net. thanks, Carolyn Ince-Wolpert

Hi Kevin,

Ella Tyrell and Charles A. Ince are my great-grandparents too! my grandfather was thier youngest son ( i think ),Edward Vincent Ince, born July 1898. he married Violet Pearl England ( she went by the name "Pearl" as she did not like her first name) on Dec 7, 1921. thier son William Herschel Ince, Sr., is my dad. they resided in Lafayette, Indiana. the family home is at 919 Rochester St., Lafayette, IN., though was sold after my grandfather's death in 1964, and no longer in the family.

i have Ella's birth as July, 1861, although the 1900 census where she is listed as being 40 yrs old, has her birth yr incorrectly listed as 1849. Charles birth is Sept. 1854. beyond Ella and Charles however, i do not have any info. if i find anything, i will let you know. i would appreciate any info you have on either Ella or Charles. thanks! Carolyn Ince-Wolpert

oh, my email address is: bearkitten@comcast.net

any info that anyone else has on Ella Tyrell, please let me know. the U.S. census lists her parents as from Ireland.

Talofa/Hello:

Well, I hope you're still researching TYRELL of the South Pacific.

I have interest with the surname TYRELL and its connection with the Samoan Islands as I am researching aiga/Family associated with TYRELL in particular:

Sarah/Serah/Sela TYRELL m. Edwin HUNT.

In my searches it seems the island of Tokelau comes up with TYRELL and now France as I've wondered where the surname TYRELL originated, most assuredly not the South Pacific region.

Hoping all is well with you and the aiga/Family.

Manuia/Regards,
--Manaia

Tyrel's in Michigan.

I have a Charles Tyorel in Lenawee Co, Mi. He is married to Mary Smith. The census record is messed up. It list Cynthia Smith as his Mother. She is Mary's mother. Also his last name is illegible. Although someone deduced it was Tyorel. After several years of searching I finally found Frank Tyrel in Pittsford Hillsdale Co, Mi. This is where Mary lived with her parents in 1860. They had two children Frances C Tryel and Frank Tyrel, twins. Born April 30, 1867. Frances died May 30, 1868. I have not been able to find them anywhere else. Charles was born in Erie, New York. Mary in Sandusky, Ohio. This also is where Cynthia was born. There are dozens of Tyrel's in Mi. You can do a search on Familysearch.com.
If anyone can add to this info I would gladly shere my info.
Thanks: Sherry Smith Hofbauer.

Hi Charles,

The Hallifaxes I'm looking for I believe came originally from the Islington area of London. I have a Benjamin Wilson Hallifax (1831-c1905) who went to India and married Mary Anne Cox in 1860. I have chapter and verse on their children, all of whom were born in India but educated in the Tiverton area of Devon, where the Cox family had a home. There is a possibility Benjamin's father was also called Benjamin Wilson Hallifax. This is the side of the family I'm looking for, but I must admit I haven't researched any early census records of the Islington area yet. Have you any tips for accessing these?

Regards
Chris

Chris,

Only now have I seen your Message Board request for contact over the name HALLIFAX. How can I help? What do you know? I am trying to find ancestors of John Hallifax who married Ann Brown in Paddington in 1849. 1841 census is missing the whole area of Paddington. !851 census shows John born in Marylebone about 1823 - 25 but I am trying to finfd if they were Lonloners or came in from elsewhere.

Charles
